It would be safe to say that the arrival of baby True was a pretty dramatic one. In the weeks building up to her long-awaited arrival, the birth was marred by accusations of infidelity by Tristan Thompson and it was believed that her mom and dad would be splitting up before she even arrived.

Khloe Kardashian - True's mom - had tried to keep her pregnancy a secret for as long as possible. Much like her half-sister Kylie, Khloe decided to neither confirm nor deny the pregnancy rumours and instead took a step back from the public eye and remained private. Then, on December 20 2017, Khloe popped up on Instagram to confirm that she was expecting and seemed overawed with emotion.

"My greatest dream realized! We are having a baby!" she wrote.  "I had been waiting and wondering but God had a plan all along. He knew what He was doing. I simply had to trust in Him and be patient.

"I still at times can't believe that our love created life! Tristan, thank you for loving me the way that you do! Thank you for treating me like a Queen! Thank you for making me feel beautiful at all stages! Tristan, most of all, Thank you for making me a MOMMY!!!

"You have made this experience even more magical than I could have envisioned! I will never forget how wonderful you've been to me during this time! Thank you for making me so happy my love!

"Thank you to everyone for the love and positive vibes! I know we've been keeping this quiet but we wanted to enjoy this between our family and close friends as long as we could privately. To enjoy our first precious moments just us.

"Thank you all for understanding. I am so thankful, excited, nervous, eager, overjoyed and scared all in one! But it's the best bundle of feelings I've ever felt in my life!"

Since True's arrival, however, Khloe has once again taken a step back from her public appearances while she acclimatizes to family life and tries to repair her broken relationship with Thomspon. Tristan, for his part, has also remained pretty quiet. The father hasn't said much about his new daughter, but he did recently take to Instagram to show-off some custom made jewellery that he had made in honour of his baby girl.

While this is the first post from Tristan to reference his daughter, the Cleveland Cavaliers player has also talked about True before on a podcast called Road Trippin. In the episode, he said: "I think with a girl, you're just so much more emotionally like… with a boy, it's just like, 'Hey man, you'll be all right man. Stop crying.' But [with True], it's like, 'True, it's gonna be OK. You know, we're right here. Daddy's here to feed you. It's me! Look, yeah!' It's way different, but it's fun, though. It changes you."

It remains to be seen if Tristan and Khloe will patch things up, but as long as True is brought up in a healthy, happy home, not much else matters.
