Warwick Davis has left fans concerned after sharing a worrying tweet just days after announcing the death of his wife, Samantha.

Last week, the Harry Potter star revealed in a statement to BBC News that Samantha had sadly passed away at the age of 53.

Referring to his late wife as his "favorite human", Warwick revealed that Samantha had passed away on March 24, leaving "a huge hole" in their family.

"She was a unique character, always seeing the sunny side of life she had a wicked sense of humor and always laughed at my bad jokes," he said in the statement.

The couple's two surviving children - Annabelle and Harrison - also shared a statement with the BBC, saying: "Her love and happiness carried us through our whole lives. Mum is our best friend and we're honored to have received a love like hers."

After fans flooded Davis' social media accounts with messages of support and tributes, the Star Wars actor took to X (formerly Twitter) on Sunday to share his first tweet since the news of Samantha's passing.

However, the short tweet left fans concerned, as Davis simply wrote: "I’m done here, Sgning off [sic]," followed by a broken heart emoji.

The brief message naturally sparked a flurry of worried fans, with one person replying: "I'm worried, what does this mean? We are all thinking of you and your family."

Another added: "My husband, children, and I want to send you, your children and family our sincere condolences, Warwick. Please take care and remember, please talk to someone if you need to. Much love."

Thankfully, Annabelle and Harrison shared an update with their father's fans confirming that he is safe, and that he is just taking some time away from social media.

"Thank you everyone for looking out for our Dad, he is taking some time away from social media," the siblings wrote. "He apologises if his last message caused anyone concern. We appreciate all of your love and support, Annabelle and Harrison x".

An actor in her own right, Warwick and Samantha first met on the set of 1988's Willow, before tying the knot three years later.

As well as a small part in Willow, Samantha also appeared in Leprechaun 2 (1994) and alongside her husband once again in

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 (2011).

Away from acting, Samantha - along with Warwick - founded the charity Little People UK in 2012. Per the charity's website, the couple aimed to "ensure that all little people are portrayed in the media in a positive way", and serve as an "invaluable resource to the dwarfism community, their friends and families."

"She was passionate about helping people, without judgment. She had time for everyone and a genuine listening ear," Warwick expressed.

Following the heartbreaking loss of his wife Samantha, Warwick is now set to star in a new project alongside his daughter Annabelle - who some fans may know for her role in the TV soap Hollyoaks.

The project was shared by content creator Kris Fox Devos on Instagram earlier this month. The post features the Harry Potter actor alongside the social media star and Annabelle, standing before a black door.

In his caption, Kris announces Warwick and Annabelle's upcoming appearance in an episode of the YouTube series. "Looking forward to starting this project and working together," Kris writes, sparking excitement among fans in the comment section.
