When a big part of your life is coming to its end, what better way to commemorate it than with a tattoo?

That's certainly the Game of Thrones cast members' way of thinking, as many of them race down to the tattoo parlour to get their inkings on. So far, we've seen new additions from Maisie Williams and Sophie Turner and there's even talk of the entire main cast getting matching ones.

The latest in this crowd of famous faces, though? Emilia Clarke, aka, Daenerys Targaryen. The 31-year-old actress recently showed off her brand new markings on Instagram, wowing fans with the adorable design.

Declaring that she was "Mother of Dragons for life", the star showed off an inking of her babies dragons, Drogon, Rhaegal and Viserion on her right wrist.

She captioned the post excitedly writing: "MOD 4 LYFE!!!!?@_dr_woo_ made sure this mamma ain’t NEVER forgetting her babies.... ? #dontworryionlybrieflypassedout #withfyreandinkbaby #modgothookedupp #couldntbehappierifitried #? #? #❤️"

After she uploaded the photo, fans immediately raced to the comment section to express their approval, with Instagrammer @nikhalessi writing: "just when I thought I couldn’t love her any more". She was joined by @tinusdegelder who put "Finally she got the dragontattoo!! ? And who else to place it than @_dr_woo_ yassss! Amazing!!!" as well as @adrianwongch who commented saying "Truly mother of dragons".

Saying farewell to Game of Thrones is not all fun and games though, of course. Recently, Emilia admitted she was having a bit of an existential crisis as she comes to the end of the fantasy drama show.

Speaking to E! News alongside co-stars Nathalie Emmanuel and Jacob Anderson, the star named the ending "bittersweet", claiming that she was unsure of what to do with her life now.

"Genuine! Existential crisis, like, legit, where you’re like, 'What?' The week after we finished was a really weird week," she said. ‘I just felt kind of disjointed and a bit, like, 'Ohhh'. What does my life mean without Game of Thrones?"

Back in June, Emilia posted another Instagram picture to say goodbye to Game of Thrones, as she celebrated her last day on set. Uploading a picture of herself from a recent trip to Ireland, in the caption, she wrote: "Hopped on a boat to an island to say goodbye to the land that has been my home away from home for almost a decade. It’s been a trip @gameofthrones thank you for the life I never dreamed I’d be able to live and the family I’ll never stop missing #?#lastseasonitis".

She is certainly not the only cast member to admit that it's a bittersweet time. Peter Dinklage - who plays Tyrion - also recently claimed he wasn't just leaving a show behind, but instead a whole other life.

"I’m sure you’ve heard that before from actors but in this case I was far from home; I live in New York and we shot the show in Europe, so many times I had to stay there and couldn’t go home on the weekends and really developed deep roots in the community of Ireland and some of the other countries we shot in,"the 49-year-old actor said. "It was definitely hard to say goodbye to because it wasn’t just saying goodbye to the show, I was saying goodbye to a life over there."
