It's fair to say that the end of Game of Thrones has been pretty divisive so far, and many people don't believe that everything was wrapped up in a satisfying way.

While some people loved it, others have derided the eighth and final season for its plot holes, rushed development, and a few embarrassing production gaffes that have ruined the immersion.

However, despite the contention over the scripts, the direction and cinematography of the show has arguably never been better, and fans on social media have given a lot of praise to one shot in particular from the finale. The shot I'm talking about occurs when Dany descends the steps leading to the ruined Red Keep, greeting her Unsullied and Dothraki warriors, while Drogon flies in the background.

At one point, the shot is framed with Drogon in the background and Dany in the foreground, so that it looks like Dany has a pair of gigantic dragon's wings. Fans have been discussing the symbolism of the shot, suggesting that it is a reference to how Dany has turned into a vengeful dragon herself, or even something downright demonic and Satanic.

Here are some of the fan reactions to the dramatic scene: 1.

However, it seems as though even the cast of the show agrees that things could have been done differently. For instance, check out this recent interview where Daenerys' actress Emilia Clarke talks about what she wanted to see from the last season.
