Haunting of Hill House sequel may include two characters from first season
The Haunting of Hill House was the breakout horror show of last year, with people going absolutely mad for each nightmarish ghostly sighting.
But it ain't over til it's over, and a second season is waiting in the wings! The only problem, of course, is that the Crain family's story is over and we will be forced to welcome a whole new cast into the mix. Or will we...?
Some telling interviews with the original cast members seem to suggest that The Haunting of Bly Manor will welcome back two key actors.
Need to be reminded of how awesome the first season was? Check out the trailer:
In a recent interview with The Wrap, Carla Gugino - who played Olivia Crain - revealed that she’s been speaking to Mike Flanagan, the show’s creator, about a role in the new season. The 47-year-old claimed nothing is certain, but confirmed they are currently looking at scheduling.
"Well, I can’t say anything definitive at this point, other than Mike and I really love collaborating and working together and any opportunity where a schedule allows for us to do that, we will, and I would be honoured to," she said. "We’re talking a lot about it and we’ll just see if all schedules allow. All I can say is I’m very excited for Season two and to see what Mike does."
Olivia isn't the only star who looks set to return either! Oliver Jackson-Cohen - who played Luke Crain - recently gave a very suspicious interview that seemed to imply he may be back too.
Speaking of the horror genre, new film The Nightingale is being blasted for its 'gratuitous and needless scenes of torture':
Saying he’d "get shot" if he answered the question of whether or not he’s appearing in the new season, the English actor told The Wrap that it's set to be "very, very exciting".
"I will get shot if I ever answer that question. I would love to answer that question. All I can say is that Bly Manor is going to be incredible. It’s a very, very exciting story, from what I’ve heard," he said.
So, will we be seeing the return of the Crain family in The Haunting of Bly Manor? Our money is on yes!
