Here are all the details you probably missed from the epic new 'Game of Thrones' trailer
After well over a year of not-so-patient waiting, Game of Thrones producers finally dropped the trailer for season eight yesterday - the last ever trailer that gives audiences some idea of how the now-legendary fantasy drama show will be concluded.
Since it was released, it's fair to say fans have watched it quite a few times, with the video currently sitting at 22 million views on the official Game of Thrones Facebook page. But no matter how many times you've watched it, there's always going to be things you overlooked. That's where we step in: 39 days exactly away from the return of the hit show, here are all the details you probably missed from the epic new trailer.
Could Arya be setting a trap?
The opening scene sees Arya running from something - but could she be setting a trap, like she did when she killed the Waif back in season six? Note that she's carrying a dragonglass spearhead (acquired after Jon convinced Dany to mine Dragonstone so they could defeat the White Walkers) and confidently talks about how she's seen the many faces of death and that she "looks forward to seeing this one."
Speaking of dragonglass...
There's a massive pile of it ready and waiting
Tormund and Beric survived the Night King's ice dragon attack
The Golden Company has arrived
Cersei looked very happy with herself and it's assumed this is related to a powerful group of Essos-based mercenaries arriving on the ships of the Ironborn. In Season Seven, she said that she wanted the Golden Company to "recover some things that belong to me" - will they be able to help her achieve this?
Is this Greyworm and Missandei's last kiss?
Pure speculation! But a lot of people are going to die in the final season and we're really concerned about these two and their beautiful romance.
The Hound is going to have to face his biggest fear
Back in Season four, The Hound told Arya about how his brother The Mountain gave him awful facial scars as a child, saying: "He pressed me to the fire like I was a nice, juicy mutton chop." It looks like it's out of the frying pan into the fire for him this season!
Are Sam and Bran going to tell Jon that he just had sex with his aunt?
There's a moment we can't wait for!
Is this the moment before Jon rides a dragon?
Since Jon and Dany combined forces, it's been an acknowledged theory that they will ride dragons together at some point. They seem to be approaching them with some purpose in this scene - could this be it? Note that Jon is close to Rhaegal, the dragon named after his father and therefore the one he'll likely ride.
April 14 cannot come soon enough! In the meantime, let's rewatch the trailer again and again and again.
