Keanu Reeves looks badass as he trains with Navy SEAL vet in preparation for 'John Wick 3'
One of cinema's most notorious killing machines, John Wick, is back. The assassin, coaxed out of retirement by the sudden death of his wife and the subsequent theft of his car and puppy, will be returning to our screens in May.
The trailer for the third installment in the series, John Wick 3: Parabellum, was dropped in January, and it looks amazing!
Every assassin in New York is after Wick (Keanu Reeves) because he has a $14 million price tag on his head after being banished from the notorious Continental Hotel for killing mobster kingpin Santino D'Antonio inside.
Now, footage of Keanu Reeves training for the role with a Navy SEAL veteran has emerged:
The clip was posted to YouTube by Vigilance Elite, a training school run by former Navy SEAL Shawn Ryan, who can be seen instructing Reeves on how to correctly fight like a pro.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, the series director, Chad Stahelski, said that the third movie "goes slightly north" of its predecessor when it comes to the number of people killed.
Halle Berry will also be starring alongside Reeves in the upcoming movie.
She teased her appearance as Sophia on Twitter and Reeves said to EW: "She [Sofia] has a past with John. I end up going to find she to see if she can help me."
As the tweet above demonstrates, Sophia is also a huge dog lover.
Reeves spoke to Entertainment Weekly about of their shared love of canines: "Whereas John's puppy was symbolic of his wife, Halle's two dogs are symbolic of someone she's lost."
John Wick 3: Parabellum is scheduled to be released on May 16. Check out the full trailer below:
