Never-seen-before scene from 'Deadpool 2' emerges and it's absolutely brilliant

The first Deadpool was a surprise hit. Comic fans had known the merc' with a mouth and his particular form of self-aware humour for years, but he really hit the big time once he made his film debut. Sure, he'd technically made it onto the big screen in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, but that was a massive blunder - something his solo film even poked fun at.

The rampant success of the movie, which lampooned tropes of the superhero genre while indulging in the same, led to the inevitable sequel.

The movie was jam-packed. There were returning characters from the last film, a new antagonist, and a plethora of supporting characters plucked from the most obscure corners of the original comics. It ended up coming in at around two hours long, but apparently there were a lot of scenes put to one side after they were deemed too irrelevant to the story, or simply because there was not enough time.

Now that the film has finished its theatrical run, raking in over $7.3 million worldwide, it's only a matter of weeks before the Blu-ray and DVD copies hit shelves. Yet there's more bonus material than most thought, with a purported 15 minutes of extra footage set to appear on 'Deadpool 2: Super Duper Cut'.

Not all these deleted scenes are available yet - as the DVD is yet to be released - but we have been treated to a glimpse at what's on offer. Posted earlier this week to IGN, one of the deleted scenes is up, offering an extended look into the protagonist's stint in the Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters, aka the X-Mansion, aka where all the X-Men live.

Or at least, they're supposed to, as both Deadpool movies make reference to the fact they can't afford any of the main team-members, so are stuck with an empty mansion and a trio of less well-known heroes. In this scene, we get to see an ultra-sincere (not really) Wade Wilson interact sans-costume with Colossus, Negasonic Teenage Warhead and her girlfriend Yukio:

There is another as-of-yet unreleased deleted scene from the movie that has been making the rounds - and you can understand why people are talking about it.

At the end of Deadpool 2, we see the anti-hero using Cable's time travel device to right wrongs of the past, including going back to kill Deadpool actor Ryan Reynolds before he can read the script for the critical and commercial flop Green Lantern. As it turns out, one of the time travel hijinks we missed out on was Deadpool killing Adolf Hitler... as a baby.

Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter about the scene, Reynolds said:

"I always loved it, because it created the same debate in our edit room as it does in the streets of the world. It was debated back and forth, and over and over again.

"We were all a little nervous about it, wondering, 'Is it too much?' None of us could come to a consensus on how to handle it, so our final decision was to just not handle it, to just not put it in the movie.

"We cut it out partially for time, but also to give us something really fun to add into the coda of the DVD."

I've got to say - if this is the level of insanity we're dealing with in these deleted scenes, I'm very curious about what the rest of the 15 minutes includes.
