This is officially the worst person in 'Friends'

It's now been more than two decades since the first episode of Friends aired and it's still one of the most talked-about shows on the planet. It doesn't matter whether you've just seen a few clips, a couple of seasons, or if you've marathoned every single episode back-to-back at least a dozen times - everyone has an opinion on which character is the worst.

All of them have their flaws, that's for certain. Joey's loveable dimness sometimes gets a bit overbearing, Chandler's humor becomes grating after a while, and Phoebe's kookiness often walks the line between sort of adorable and painfully weird. Rachel tends to be fairly neutral most of the time (but everyone has their opinion on the whole "we were on a break" debacle), and the Gellers... well, they're certainly unique, to say the least.

So, after years of debate, one reputable survey platform, YouGov, finally put the matter to rest by asking the public which of the six main characters they found to be the least tolerable.

Unsurprisingly, first place (ie, the most liked) was snatched by none other than Chandler Bing (or Mrs. Chnandler Bong, for those of you who pay close attention to his mail). Matthew Perry's character was unanimously voted the funniest of the gang, and 16 percent of voters said that he was the one they would most like to be friends with, making him second only to Phoebe (who got 18 percent of the vote).

Next up was Joey, who was also voted "the most fun" and the best candidate for a spin-off show (probably because he did actually have one). He was also found to be the most attractive of the guys - but Rachel scored most attractive overall, with 50 percent of voters choosing her as the hottest member of the bunch.

In third place - and the best scoring woman of the group - was Phoebe, who was also voted to be the nicest character. Strangely enough, she was also considered the second most annoying, with Ross "insert generic noise of complaint here" Geller being the most irritating.

And now for the bottom half of the gang: coming in fourth, only two percent behind Phoebe, was Rachel. Despite being unanimously voted the hottest, the least annoying, and the one that most people wanted to date, poor Rach didn't quite make the cut as a favorite.

So now we come to the bottom two - and what better pairing than the brother and sister with a history of extreme rivalry?

Unlike the endless competition for the Geller Cup, however, this contest does have a definitive outcome. And we're sorry to break it to you, Monica, but you're everyone's least favorite friend.

With just one percent more in his favor, Ross snatched fifth place, leaving his sister at the bottom of the pile. But Monica managed to grab a few points back in other categories. While Ross was voted least attractive, least fun, and most annoying, Monica achieved a fairly middling rating in all those categories.

However, she was decided to be the least nice, the least funny, and the worst candidate for a spin-off show. So, they're both as bad as each other really.

If you think that Monica - or indeed anyone else - has seen some kind of huge injustice here, please voice your complaints to: 15 Yemen Road, Yemen. Thanks.
