Stephen King's 'It' has been scaring people for over thirty years. However, it wasn't until last year that a movie came together to do the horror novel justice. Sure, there was the 1990 TV mini-series, but it wasn't exactly the most accurate adaptation nor the scariest - something the 2017 movie had in spades.

Tim Curry, in my opinion, did a pretty amazing job portraying Pennywise, the clown who tormented all the members of the Losers Club with their worst fears. But when Bill Skarsgård had the costume and prosthetics put on, he terrified audiences in an entirely new way.

For those that have watched the movie, you may remember that it ends on a cliffhanger of sorts. Ben, Bill, Stan, Richie, Bev and Eddie managed to overcome their fears and defeat the monster, but made a promise to return to the town of Derry if there was any sign that Pennywise had come back. And now, 'It: Chapter Two' has started filming.

The movie looks to adapt the other half of King's book, which focused on the group, now adults, returning to Derry twenty years later. While it has been said that there will be some flashbacks to the original cast, there are now an entirely new group of actors taking over those roles.

A few cast reveals made their way onto the internet, before they showed the full cast at a script reading together.

So, we've got Jessica Chastain playing Beverly, who was portrayed by Sophia Lillis in the first movie.

James McAvoy will be taking over the role of Bill, Jay Ryan will play Ben, Bill Hader will play Richie, James Ransone will play the adult version of Eddie, Andy Bean will play the adult version of Stan, and Isaiah Mustafa will be Mike.

Here's how they compare to their younger versions (yes, non-book readers, Ben changes a lot):

And, being an altogether different kind of creature, Pennywise will look much the same - meaning that Bill Skarsgård will still be creeping it up for the sequel. Speaking to Den of Geek about the upcoming It: Chapter Two, the actor said:

“I'm really looking forward to it. It's going to be a very different experience this time around, just given the fact that you have all of these incredible, seasoned actors to play against, as opposed to having all the kids.

"So it's going to be a different experience for sure. But I'm looking forward to it."

James McAvoy posted an Instagram a few months back confirming that they were starting filming on the movie, making a particularly cheesy pun.

With the cast and crew shooting, it was only a matter of time before someone caught a glimpse of the process - and now Twitter is sharing all sorts of photos of Pennywise, suspended on wires on the set.

Even behind-the-scenes, the clown looks creepy as hell.

We'll have to wait a little longer to see the finished version, however. It: Chapter Two will be hitting cinemas on September 6, 2019.
