People have noticed something totally bizarre about Andy's appearance in the 'Toy Story 4' trailer

Yesterday, the creators of Toy Story dropped the first full-length trailer for the fourth movie without any warning, sending fans of the franchise into an excited frenzy.

The latest addition to the series follows Woody and the original gang, plus a new addition: 'Forky', voiced by Arrested Development's Tony Hale.

Much like the previous films, the story begins with the toys embarking on an unexpected adventure outside of their home (or, in this case, Bonnie's RV) - this time to convince Forky that he's not just a piece of "trash", and that he belongs in the ever-growing Toy Story family.

If you haven't seen the trailer yet, you can check it out here:

Now, there's a lot to take in here - Bo Peep's foray into the toy wilderness, Woody's temptation to ditch Bonnie, those seriously creepy ventriloquist dummies - but there was one aspect of the trailer that stood out to some fans more than anything else: Andy.

As we know from the previous film, Andy is no longer the toys' owner; but that doesn't mean Woody & co have forgotten him!

At one point in the preview, we see what appears to be a flashback of Andy playing with Buzz and Jessie... only, it doesn't look like Andy at all.

Twitter users flocked to the platform to call out this new rendering of Andy, which is nothing like the original 1996 version.

Others, however, were more forgiving.

And some had an alternative take on why he looks so different.

So, is there more to the story of Andy looking so different? Could he have a son? Is this an imposter? Or might it just be that animation technology has come a long way over the past few decades? We'll just have to wait until June to find out.
