If I were to say the names "Emma Stone" and "Jonah Hill" in the same sentence, you'd probably smile, sigh a little and start reminiscing about how great they were together in Superbad.

Well, in just over a months' time, you won't have to mourn the good 'ole days anymore, because the superstar pair are back together in brand new Netflix show, Maniac.

The upcoming dark comedy will follow "Annie Landsberg (Emma Stone) and Owen Milgrim (Jonah Hill), two strangers drawn to the late stages of a mysterious pharmaceutical trial, each for their own reasons."

The show's official synopsis continues to claim that:

"Annie’s disaffected and aimless, fixated on broken relationships with her mother and her sister; Owen, the fifth son of wealthy New York industrialists, has struggled his whole life with a disputed diagnosis of schizophrenia. Neither of their lives have turned out quite right, and the promise of a new, radical kind of pharmaceutical treatment—a sequence of pills its inventor, Dr. James K. Mantleray, claims can repair anything about the mind, be it mental illness or heartbreak—draws them and ten other strangers to the facilities of Neberdine Pharmaceutical and Biotech for a three-day drug trial that will, they’re assured, with no complications or side-effects whatsoever, solve all of their problems, permanently."

Sounds pretty insane, huh? Well, you can see just how crazy it all gets in a new trailer that has just been released!

Intense, right? This 10-part series is a remake of a Norwegian series of the same name, which came out in 2014, and also features Sally Field, Justin Theroux, Julia Garner and Jemima Kirke. Released on September 21st, we haven't got long to wait until we can finally binge it!

In other Emma Stone news, she was recently was confused with Emma Watson by a fan on the street in New York... and it was super bad (pun intended).

It all started when the actress accompanied Billy Eichner on his YouTube show, Billy on the Street. The premise of the piece was the pair going up to random people and asking their opinions on random things, as well as for Billy to try and convince the star to join Instagram.

However, things got a little awkward when one young man clearly had no idea who he was talking to. In the video, the host innocently asks the stranger what his favourite Emma Stone movie is. His answer? Harry Potter.

All in all, not quite the response they were going for. Stone reacted by cringing and saying one word: "Oh?" The American comedian host then jokingly asks her "why couldn't you be Emma Watson?"

Despite Emma not getting recognition on the streets of the Big Apple, I for one am unbelievably excited about the release of Maniac, and will be avidly watching come September 21st. Keep being amazing, Emma.
