This Marvel fan's dying wish is to know how Avengers 4 ends
It's fair to say that Avengers: Infinity War was a blast. One of the best Hollywood blockbusters in years, and a stunning set-up to the endgame of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which is now more than ten years old. Ever since the release of Iron Man back in 2008, the intertwining plot lines and new characters have been steadily building towards the final confrontation with Thanos himself.
No, I'm not wanting to give away any spoilers, just in case any readers out there haven't been lucky enough to catch the movie in the theatres. But I will say this: it ended on one hell of a cliffhanger. Seriously, I left the cinema scratching my head wondering how on earth the writers are going to get themselves out of what looks like a major dead end. All around the world, fans have been desperately clamouring to find out what happens next. In fact, tragically, it seems as though there's one person out there who's so invested in the movies, that finding out the ending of Avengers 4 is literally her dying wish.
Recently, the My Shining Star Children's Cancer Society posted on Twitter and Facebook about a girl called Keira. Keira is a Marvel superfan who has seen all the movies, and was diagnosed with malignant brain cancer. Keira has now been told that she only has a few months left to live, and it's seriously unlikely that she will survive her disease to meet the May 2019 release of the sequel to Infinity War.
The post stated: "Keira has been given just 3-6months to live after a 4.5 year fight against brain cancer!! Her dying wish is to find out what happens in the next INFINITY WAR film. The family have tried everything to make this wish come true but everything so far has failed. As many of you know, we aren't a wish charity but a small organisation that deals with financial hardship, but this girl has battled cancer since childhood and she deserves her wish. WE MUST TRY!!! Please."
As a result of the plea for help, thousands of Marvel fans around the world have mobilised to try and ensure that Keira gets to find out how it all ends. The Twitter appeal has since been retweeted more than 34,000 times and now boasts more than 20,000 likes.

"Listen, @MarvelStudios. I know that y'all have rules and such and that you want to keep stuff about the movie as tightlipped as possible. But... can't you make an /exception/? This kid won't even /live/ to watch the movie. All that she probably wants is to know if the good guys manage to win in the end. If her heroes /save/ everyone.
"It would be... painfully sad if she actually never finds it out ... It is her last wish before she sadly is gone from this world. And that's why, I ask you... let her find out. Just this kid. She deserves to know what is going to happen."
It remains to be seen whether the famously tight-lipped Russo brothers will budge on the issue, but I think that Disney has a chance to be real superheroes here, don't you?
