Kim Kardashian has been pressured to apologize and take down her post referring to Princess Catherine after the royal announced that she is battling cancer.

Last Friday (March 22), the Princess of Wales released a video message informing the public that she had been diagnosed with cancer after speculations about her whereabouts went viral on social media. Watch Princess Catherine's video message below:

In the video, the 42-year-old revealed that she had paused her royal duties while she and her husband, Prince William, took time to explain the situation to their three children - George, 10, Charlotte, eight, and Louis, five.

"This, of course, came as a huge shock, and William and I have been doing everything we can to process and manage this privately for the sake of our young family," she said. "As you can imagine, this has taken time. It has taken me time to recover from major surgery in order to start my treatment."

Following the heartbreaking message, a statement was released on behalf of King Charles III, saying: "His Majesty is so proud of Catherine for speaking as she did. His Majesty has remained in the closest contact with his beloved daughter-in-law.

"Both Their Majestys will continue to offer their love and support to the family at this time," they added.

Prior to the announcement, rumors about the princess' whereabouts were rife as she was absent from public life for months. While some people were genuinely concerned, others shared wild conspiracy theories on social media.

Kim Kardashian also appeared to make light of the situation, as the SKIMS founder posted a photo of herself posing in front of a luxury car, while she was wearing leather pants and a black crop top.

"On my way to go find Kate," she captioned the post. Check out Kardashian's post below:

However, after Princess Catherine disclosed her health crisis last week, many of the 43-year-old star's followers have now flooded her latest Instagram post with criticism, and are urging her to apologize.

One user asked: "Where is the apology to our princess??"

"Lost so much respect, still having that photo up for likes and you say you love to show compassion and kindness," another added, with others also bringing up Kim's father, Robert Kardashian, who sadly passed away from his battle with esophageal cancer back in 2003.

A third commented: "Ah Kim. When will you ever learn? The least you can do is make an apology….. the least."

"It was very clear @kimkardashian that our princess was suffering and trying to heal, look after her family, and take some time out. Just because you love to float on the wave of social media and that’s how you make your living doesn’t mean it is right to poke fun at someone OBVIOUSLY taking time out off work to process her illness, heal, and try to discuss this with her family," a fourth user slammed.

As of this writing, Kim's original post with the "finding Kate" caption is still live on her Instagram page.

Kardashian isn’t the only celebrity who commented about the royal's whereabouts as she faced her health battle - as Stephen Colbert, John Oliver, Jimmy Kimmel, and Andy Cohen also shared quips about the Princess' absence.

Blake Lively also faced criticism from fans after she promoted her drinks range on March 13 and "mocked" the photo-editing controversy surrounding Princess Catherine's Mother's Day photo.

"I’m so excited to share this new photo I just took today to announce our 4 new @bettybuzz & @bettybooze products! Now you know why I’ve been MIA," the 36-year-old wrote in her now-deleted post.

However, the Gossip Girl star later took to Instagram to express remorse, stating: "I'm sure no one cares today but I feel I have to acknowledge this. I made a silly post around the 'photoshop fails' frenzy and, oh, man, that post has me mortified today."

"Sending love and well wishes to all, always," she concluded.

Our thoughts remain with Princess Catherine at this time.
