At one point in time, Miranda Lambert was head-over-heels in love with Blake Shelton, vowing to never love another man.

Years down the line, the love has completely vanished though - something that was shown when Miranda shaded her ex-husband in front of the Academy of Country Music Awards crowd last night!

Gallons of tea was spilled when the singer took to the stage to perform her single Little Red Wagon on Sunday night, with Blake left to cringe in the crowd with partner Gwen Stefani.

The scandalous moment went down when Miranda made a little lyric change in the middle of the song.

Normally, the words go like this:

"Oh, you only love me for my big sunglasses/And my Tony Lomas I live in Oklahoma/And I've got long, blonde hair/And I play guitar, and I go on the road/And I do all the shit you wanna do/And my dog does tricks/And I ain't about drama, ya'll I love my apron/But I ain't your mama!/So guess what?"

However, Miranda went ahead and changed the lyric "I live in Oklahoma"  to "I got the hell out of Oklahoma" - a kick in the face for Blake, as the former couple shared a home in that exact place. Cutthroat, right?

The spicy move proved explosive on social media, with many people tweeting about it.

Twitter user @Ranfan1997 loved it, writing "The fact @mirandalambert actually said I got the hell out of Oklahoma," alongside some clapping and laughing emojis.

She was joined by @ninadonline, who commented saying: "Holy smoke show!!! @mirandalambert looks good!!  BUT OMG her ex is in the crowd and she just shaded him by talking about getting out of Oklahoma". [sic]

If you're a fan of the pair, you'll know they had a rather messy divorce in 2015, after four years of marriage.

At the time of their separation, rumours were running rampant that Blake was cheating with The Voice co-host, Gwen Stefani - his now girlfriend - and many attributed the couple’s divorce to the alleged affair.

However, the God Gave Me You star seemingly got his own back at the gossip after Miranda began dating singer-songwriter Evan Felker in 2018 when he was still married.

Taking to Twitter to comment on the situation, he wrote: "Been taking the high road for a long time… I almost gave up. But I can finally see something on the horizon up there!! Wait!! Could it be?! Yep!! It’s karma!! [sic]"

Nowadays, both parties have moved on with their new partners. Blake is with Gwen, and Miranda is married to Brendan Mcloughlin, something that she revealed to fans in a shock post on Valentine's Day this year.

"In honor of Valentine’s Day I wanted to share some news. I met the love of my life. And we got hitched! My heart is full. Thank you Brendan Mcloughlin for loving me for.... me. #theone, [sic]" she wrote on social media.

It has to be said: their new loves don't seem to stop them from throwing savage shade at one another though...
