10 really awkward moments you may have missed from the 2018 Grammys

It's that time of year again. The Grammys have now come and gone, with the usual amount of controversies, upsets and their fair share of brilliant moments. However, one thing you can guarantee on getting at some point during any kind of awards ceremony is awkwardness.

Whether it's that time that they gave the wrong Oscar to La La Land or the now infamous moment that Kanye West stormed the stage when Taylor Swift was mid-acceptance speech, there are bound to be a few cringeworthy scenes. Now that it's over, we know that 2018 was no different for The Grammys - as the list below goes to show.

1. When Tony Bennett got in the way of Rihanna

Instead of leaving the stage after presenting it, Bennet awkwardly got in the way between her and the microphone.

2. Hailee Steinfeld's attempt at a country accent

Better luck next time?

3. When Nick Jonas and Camila Cabello ran into each other on the red carpet

Cabello recently shared that she chickened out of kissing him on New Year's Eve and hasn't seen him since.

4. Lil Uzi Vert's interview

With the many one-word answers, this may be one of the most cringey red carpet interviews ever televised

5. The reactions to Ed Sheeran winning

Sheeran won for both Best Pop Solo Performance and Best Pop Vocal Album, though plenty were unimpressed.

6. When Anna Kendrick's joke fell flat

During her introduction of Elton John, Kendrick dropped a joke about her height that fell a little flat with the crowd.

7. Chrissy Teigen and John Legend giving too much information

While recounting a recent toilet fiasco, the couple gave away a little more about their personal lives than we're used to celebrities sharing.

8. Camila Cabelo's mid-interview boob squeeze

"Having it out there in the world feels really good — hold on, I have to squeeze my boobs."

9. When Anna Kendrick couldn't be bothered to clap

Snapping your fingers is a lot easier.

10. U2's outside performance

Cutting away to U2 on a barge in front of the Statue of Liberty might have sounded like a good idea, but people were mostly confused.

As long as there are awards ceremonies there will always be cringe-worthy moments like this. Add in the fact that all these incredibly wealthy and eccentric personalities are all in one place and you've guaranteed some strange behavior too.
