OddddRising hip-hop star Tekashi 6ix9ine could be facing life in prison, after getting busted by the feds last Sunday. The rainbow-colored, face-tattooed rapper was arrested on firearms charges, plus suspicion of racketeering (dishonest and fraudulent business dealings). The investigation was a collaboration between Homeland Security, the NYPD and the ATF (Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives). According to the prosecuting attorney, 6ix9ine is facing a mandatory minimum sentence of 32 years in prison, with a maximum of life.

The 22-year-old MC was already skating on thin ice. In 2015, he pleaded guilty to use of a child in a sexual performance, narrowly avoiding prison time, plus having to register as a sex offender. However, this year he violated the conditions of his probation, getting busted for driving without a license, allegedly assaulting a police officer, and allegedly assaulting a 16-year-old boy. But once again, 6ix9ine narrowly avoided prison. The judge sentenced him to four years of probation, with the requirements that he do 1,000 hours of community service and avoid all gang activity.

The FBI bust appears to be a huge violation of those conditions. After the arrest, the Department of Justice released a 17-page indictment of the troubled rapper. The report claims that that 6ix9ine, plus multiple members of his crew, are associates of, or members of, the violent New York City gang Nine Trey Gangsters, a sect of the Bloods. "This defendant participated in multiple acts of violence," stated the US attorney. Just last week, 6ix9ine, real name Daniel Hernandez, announced he fired his entire management and was canceling his US tour. (Maybe he knew the charges were coming?)

Although he has no one to blame but himself, this must be devastating news. This year 6ix9ine and Nicki Minaj made the smash single Fefe, which hit number one on the Billboard charts. On Friday, November 23, his new album DUMMA BOY drops, which features Kanye West and Nicki Minaj, twice. This week he could celebrating his success; instead, he's in general population at a notoriously brutal Brooklyn prison. TMZ reports that the star is getting no special treatment.

Now, rapper, actor and vitamin water kingpin Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson is weighing in on 6ix9ine's legal troubles. Over the summer, the two recorded a song together called Get The Strap, which also featured Uncle Murda. Reportedly shots were fired on the set while they were filming the music video, but luckily no one was hurt. Anyway, the Get Rich Or Die Trying star loves to troll on social media, and he struck again after 6ix9ine's arrest.

On Instagram, Jackson shared a photo of himself and 6ix9ine, writing, "My son got picked up, I told him don’t call me ?shit. The Fed’s on you fool,?call ya momma??‍♂️don’t put the FBI on my phone.?positive vibes only #lecheminduroi." Very comforting words, Fitty! Around the year 2000, he was able to escape street life for a career in entertainment - and miraculously survive getting shot nine times. But it looks like 6ix9ine's luck has ran out.
