Lynne Spears, the mom of Britney Spears, has worried fans of the songstress by liking comments claiming that Britney is being "held against her will" in rehab.

Britney checked into a mental health facility earlier this month, after revealing she'd cancelled her second Las Vegas residency. It is thought that she has been having trouble coping with the near-death of her father Jamie, who was almost killed when his colon ruptured.

Lynne took to Instagram earlier today, to share an image of a woman on her knees,  which was captioned: "When God's warriors go down on their knees the battle is not over; it has just begun." She then appeared to personally 'like' a number of comments made by followers, which seemed to suggest that Britney was being  or incarcerated against her will in the mental health facility.

For instance, one user with the handle themrkingalex wrote: "Lynne - We are ALL standing behind Britney! None of us will stop until she’s freed from all of this evil doing. We want what’s best for Britney and that’s her happiness, health & most of all her freedom. We won’t allow the past history of 2007 to repeat itself. You have to be brave, you have to be bold, you have to stand up for what’s right and be fearless. You have to fight to help protect your daughter."

They added: "We ALL love and adore Britney to bits and pieces. This is criminal behaviour and she doesn’t deserve to be treated like a caged animal.
I’m praying that God will shine a bright light through all of this and help show Britney to the other side. My heart is with you on this long bumpy road of endless fights. Sending love & strength. Do NOT give up! [sic]"

When Britney made the decision to cancel her Vegas show, she told her fans that: "I don’t even know where to start with this, because this is so tough for me to say. I will not be performing my new show Domination. I’ve been looking forward to this show and seeing all of you this year, so doing this breaks my heart."

She added: "However, it’s important to always put your family first… and that’s the decision I had to make. A couple of months ago, my father was hospitalised and almost died. We’re all so grateful that he came out of it alive, but he still has a long road ahead of him."

We can only hope that Britney will be out of rehab in the near future, and trust that she will make a speedy recovery soon enough.
