Ciara's Mother's Day surprise from Russell Wilson and her kids moves singer to tears
On Sunday, Mother's Day brought about the opportunity for everyone to show their moms how much they mean to them - but not everyone could be with their families.
Rather than having a relaxed day with her loved ones, singer Ciara was busy appearing on The View to promote her most recent music video for her single Beauty Marks. Nonetheless, this didn't stop her family sending her an adorable message from home!
Catching his wife completely off-guard, Russell Wilson sent in a video in which he named the 1, 2, Step singer "the sweetest woman in the world".
Watch Ciara well up as her family tells her how much they all adore her:
"Hey C, I wish I was there with you right now. I know the kids and I, we're back here in Seattle, we just wanted to wish you a Happy Mother's Day," said the football quarterback. "There's no one better than you, you're the sweetest woman in the world, you truly give us love, you truly give us light, you change the world, you make the world a better place, you encourage, you inspire and I'm grateful I get to be your husband. I just love you so much."
As the camera went to her two kids, her son, Future, was caught exclaiming: "I love you, you're the best mom and I love you so much, wherever you go, I still love you."
Unsurprisingly, while watching the footage, Ciara began welling up and covered her face as the tears began to roll. "God is good," she told The View presenters as she was given a tissue to wipe her eyes after the emotional moment.
All in all, the whole segment was pretty moving; not only did the Level Up songstress' family send her a Mother's Day message, we also got to watch her new video for Beauty Marks, which features footage from her wedding to Russell, as well as from inside the hospital room when she gave birth to her baby girl Sienna back in 2017.
Speaking about her new offering on Instagram, the 33-year-old named the events in the video the most "special moments of her life".
"Here it is guys," she wrote. "Sharing some of the most vulnerable and special moments of my life with you. This album, This song, This Video symbolizes how we can turn our scars into Beauty Marks, and there’s no greater feeling than turning your tears of sorrow into tears of joy.#BeautyMarks".
Thanks for sharing your beautiful family with us all, Ciara!
