Eminem is opening a restaurant and the name is brilliant

2017 won't go down in the history books as a particularly positive year. A lot of things have happened this year and the majority of them haven't exactly been great. However, among all the doom and gloom of the past 12 months, there has been a few highlights. And the return of Eminem has been a high (or low) point for many music fans, with the rapper finally dropping his much-anticipated album 'Revival' on Friday.

At one point Eminem was largely regarded as the greatest rapper alive, however, his stock has fallen significantly in the past few years. His newest album features many superstar artists on it and it will no doubt go on to be hugely successful commercially. The marketing which has surrounded it has been nothing short of fantastic, also.

The rapper was continuously hinting at the name of the album and the release date on his social media accounts, and his cypher at the BET awards this year certainly helped him put the spotlight on himself once more. However, the latest concept which has been thought up by either Eminem or his marketing team, is absolutely genius.

In wake of Revival coming out on Friday, Eminem has opened a pop-up restaurant in Detroit called "Mom's Spaghetti." The title is obviously a throwback to the astronomically huge single "Lose Yourself", in which the rapper - whose real name is Marshall Mathers - says: "His palms are sweaty, knees weak, arms are heavy / There’s vomit on his sweater already, mom’s spaghetti."

Lose Yourself went on to be one of Eminem's most recognisable singles, with it being 5 x platinum in the US alone. The song was notably used in the Eminem biopic 8 Mile, which saw the rapper document his early life spent living in poverty in the city of Detroit.

The Mom's Spaghetti Diner is launching in Slim Shady's home town of Detroit and will be located inside of The Shelter Music Club - the location of the majority of the iconic rap battles which took place in 8 Mile.

Taking to his Twitter account to announce the unveiling of the diner, the Grammy-winning artist said:

"Detroit! Come vomit up some spaghetti with me this weekend at our official #Revival pop up. Exclusive merch, spaghetti and more"

The menu is pretty limited, with there being spaghetti with or without meatballs, and a "s'ghetti sandwich" - which I'm guessing is literally spaghetti in bread.

Fans will also be able to purchase exclusive merchandise at the diner, which if you want to literally experience the music to its full capacity, you are more than welcome to vomit your spaghetti all over.

The pop-up is only open for two days (Friday and Saturday 10 am to 5 pm), so if you're in the area, head on down to fill yourself up with some iconic pasta.

No doubt there will be hoards of Eminem's fans queuing round the block to sample some of the infamous food. $3 for some water though? I think I'll swerve it thanks.
