The original bus from 'Spice World' has been transformed into an Airbnb
If you didn't manage to Spice Up Your Life and nab tickets to the Spice Girls' world tour this year, you're probably feeling pretty bummed right now. But, what if we were to tell you that you could have something even better?
We're happy to announce that your dream accommodation has now become available on Airbnb, in the form of the actual Spice Bus from the 1997 Spice World movie.
A fanatic of the band named Suzanne Godley has converted the hot property into a fabulous apartment that boasts Union Jack cinema chairs, a Girl Power neon light installation, a basket of scrunchies, disco balls, 90s magazines and so much more.
The ad for the bus reveals that it sleeps three, as well as stating that girl power and a compulsory rendition of Goodbye on check out are essential qualities the owner looks for in an occupant. It will be located in Wembley Park, London, to tie in with the Spice Girls (minus Posh) performance at the O2.
You could soon be sleeping in the same place as Posh, Sporty, Baby, Ginger, and Scary did! Spot the Spice Bus in this clip from Spice World:
But if you Wannabe one of the renters, you need to Stop what you're doing and act fast. An overnight stay in the bus - which costs £99 ($128) - is tricky to come by. It was originally only available for rent on June 14 and 15, though host Suzanne Godley says she'll be adding more dates from 8 a.m. BST on Wednesday May 22.
Speaking out about her project, Godley, who worked for months to get the famed bus into shape, claimed:
"The Spice Girls were my childhood obsession. My parents were subjected to my tone-deaf performances as Baby Spice, and I must have watched the 'Spice World' movie hundreds of times. And while I have grown up over the years, I don't think I've ever grown out of my love for them. When my boss mentioned that he was considering buying the Spice Bus I was desperate to be a part of its renovation."
She continued to reveal how happy she is that it's finally available to rent out, stating:
"We've worked hard over the past few months to turn the bus into a home, in keeping with its legacy, and I'm so excited to open it up to the public with the support of Airbnb. Being part of this project has been like a dream come true and I can't wait to meet other Spice Girls fans through this experience."
So, what are you waiting for? Grab two of your best friends, get on that double denim and head down to the bus to zig-a-zig-ah!
