Noah Cyrus has seemingly responded after she was criticized for liking her sister's ex's photo on social media.

There tends to be an unspoken rule that when a friend or relative breaks up with their significant other, you also cut them off out of respect for your loved one, right?

For some, that's a given, but for others, the exact rules around it are a little unclear.

Cue Noah Cyrus.

The 24-year-old has recently found herself on the wrong side of the internet after she liked Miley Cyrus' ex, Liam Hemsworth's thirst trap.

The Hunger Games actor took to Instagram over the weekend to post a black-and-white gym selfie, showing off his not-so-subtle muscles alongside a caption thanking fans for supporting his latest project Land of Bad, which released in theatres back in February.

"A massive thank you to everyone that has watched Land of Bad! The feedback has been awesome. Extremely grateful for all the love and support!" he wrote, adding the hashtag: "#legday."

Naturally, the post received an outpour of support by fans, but there was one person social media users didn't expect to see in the likes and it was none other than Noah.

Being Miley's younger sister, the idea just didn't sit well with some people.

"Noah Cyrus is out here liking Liam Hemsworth’s instagram... if my sister was out here liking my ex husband’s instagrams I’d be digging her grave," wrote one user while another added: "Noah Cyrus liking her sisters ex husbands photo... yea I’ve witnessed people do similar s***, peoples that do that s*** to their siblings have no brain cells bruh."

A third also stated: "@noahcyrus liking it within 3 hrs. mind u the last post she liked about Miley was like 2021..."

Others also compared Miley and Noah, writing: "Noah Cyrus liking her sister’s ex husband pics, and Miley is doing songs with Beyoncé and getting award after award. They are not the same."

Well, they aren't wrong, are they?

But some did defend the star, with this one user writing: "You all don't understand that Noah Cyrus was 8 years old when Liam Hemsworth came into her family's life, a little girl. Liam was like his brother for over 10 years, literally Miley's entire family followed Liam on Instagram until Flowers was released. it's just a like LOL."

The drama was cranked up a notch after the star uploaded two follow-up posts seemingly addressing the entire fiasco with the first blankly stating: "Who gives a f***" and the second adding: "Theres [sic] no greater joy than seeing yall get sooooooo angry over the dumbest s*** it's so entertaining and funny."

Miley and Liam had an on-and-off relationship over the span of a decade, but just a year and a half after tying the knot in December 2018, the pair officially called it quits in January 2020.
