June Shannon, mother of the Toddlers and Tiaras star Honey Boo Boo, has been arrested in Alabama on drug possession charges. Her mugshot has now been released by the sheriff’s department in Macon County, as well as a mugshot of her boyfriend Geno Doak, who was arrested on charges of drug possession and also of domestic violence.

Shannon's arrest reports detailed that upon finding a pipe after searching the couple's pickup truck, officials determined that "the paraphernalia was noted ... as showing evidence of crack cocaine residue and was determined to be recently used."

Infamously, the TLC series Here Comes Honey Boo Boo, a spin-off show featuring the Shannon family, was cancelled by the network after reports surfaced claiming that Shannon was dating a convicted child molester: Mark Anthony McDaniel.

As a result of these revelations, there was a public outcry, and TLC responded to the furore by cancelling the show (despite that fact that it left an entire season's worth of episodes left unaired). The network also released a statement following the cancellation, in which they claimed: "We are currently reassessing the reports, but we do not currently have Here Comes Honey Boo Boo in production ... supporting the health and welfare of these remarkable children is our only priority. TLC is faithfully committed to the children's ongoing comfort and well-being." Our sources say the network will pay for tutors and counsellors for the kids."

Following the show's cancellation, Shannon and her former live-in partner Mike Thompson were offered $1 million to appear in a pornographic film, but she refused to participate, stating: "I have more respect for myself and my kids and my family. It ain't happening, not even for a zillion dollars."

Alana and June later appeared on an episode of The Doctors in which the mother and daughter confronted Alana's sudden weight gain, and collaborated with singer/songwriter Adam Barta in 2015, to create a song called "Movin' Up," which was met with mixed reviews, but which became a viral hit. In 2017 June launched a reality series entitled "Mama June: From Not to Hot" which featured her going through a makeover.

Shannon's representatives have not yet commented on her arrest.
