As the countdown to Super Bowl LVIII intensifies, San Francisco 49ers fans are buzzing with excitement over the potential entrance of their team onto the grand stage - set to the beats of none other than Kanye West.

With the news that Taylor Swift is on her way back to the United States to watch her beau Travis Kelce take on the 49ers, some football fans have their own ideas on how to counter all the buzz surrounding entertainment's newest power couple.

Since going public with their relationship back in September 2023, the 34-year-old 'Love Story' singer has frequently been seen watching Kelce and the Chiefs on their road to the Super Bowl -- much to the chagrin of some football fans.

Despite only appearing on our screens for a moment here and a moment there, Swift has been accused of "ruining" the NFL.

And now some football fans are going a step further, and calling for the 49ers to enter Allegiant Stadium to a Kanye West track.

You see, the brewing rivalry between West and Swift has captivated the public since 2009 - ever since the rapper interrupted the then-teenage singer at the MTV VMAs. Ever since then, their feud has been marked by contentious lyrics, public spats, and a series of headline-grabbing moments.

One moment in particular - that all pivoted around that infamous phone call - saw West mention Swift in his 2016 track 'Famous', sparking backlash with the lyrics: "I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex / Why? I made that b***h famous."

Amid a bitter back-and-forth and legal battles, West's ex-wife Kim Kardashian even leaked a video that appeared to show Swift agreeing to have him use her name in the track during a phone call.

In a recent interview with TIME magazine - after being named 'Person of the Year' - Swift reflected on the toll the feud had taken on her, describing it as "a career death", adding: "That took me down psychologically to a place I've never been before."

Now, the idea of the 49ers making their Super Bowl entrance to West's infamous track has gained traction on social media, with fans eagerly discussing the potential for a subtle dig at Swift.

Taking to X, one person wrote: "When the 49ers first come out on the field they need to play “Famous” by Kanye West #SuperBowl2024."

A second added: "Hoping the 49ers come out to Famous by Kanye West as [their] walk out song for the game."

"Dawg, if the 49ers come out to Kanye West’s “Famous” I would lose my s**t," a third expressed, with another tweeting: "Imagine the 49ers come out the tunnel blasting Famous - Kanye West from their boombox. I might have to root for them."

And the suggestion couldn't come at a more relevant time, as Swifties have once again taken aim at West for once again referencing the 'Shake It Off' star in one of his new tracks.

Elsewhere, despite the needless criticism Swift has received surrounding her presence at the Chiefs' games, one person who has spoken out in her defense is Travis' brother, Jason Kelce.

During a recent interview with WCPO 9, Jason acknowledged the significant attention on Swift during Chiefs games.

The Philadelphia Eagles center remarked: "The attention's there because the audience wants to see it, I mean, if people didn't want to see it, they wouldn't be showing it, I know that."

He went on to describe Taylor Swift as the "quintessential artist right now in the world", and an "unbelievable role model for young women across the globe."

Kelce believes that the NFL would be wise to embrace Swift's influence and recognize her as a role model for young girls.

"The NFL would be probably foolish not to show [Taylor Swift]," he said.

As the anticipation builds and fans eagerly await kickoff, the question on everyone's mind is whether the 49ers will indeed make their Super Bowl entrance to a Kanye West track.
