It's fair to say that this year's Super Bowl was a little underwhelming on the field. However, it seems as though all the drama surrounding the event has managed to overshadow the game in some respects. Just think about all the trailers and ads we were subjected to, the controversies and scandals, and even the amazing performance of the national anthem. It's a bit irksome for football fans who only care about the sport and are indifferent to all the hype surrounding it. But for everyone else, it's all just part of the fun.
Needless to say, one of last night's big talking points was the couple goals exhibited by the quarterback for the New England Patriots, Tom Brady, and his beautiful wife Gisele Bündchen. Thanks to Brady's countless achievements, many experts, analysts and sportswriters consider Brady to possibly be the greatest quarterback in NFL history. Yet it was his wife's encouragement after their big win that seemed to mean the most to him.
Gisele paid tribute to her talented athlete of a husband with a cute Instagram post shared with her many thousands of followers. The picture showed the two of them sharing a tender kiss at the end of the game, surrounded by cameras. Gisele captioned the photo: "What a special night. Congratulations Patriots! Congratulations my love! Your tireless commitment, discipline and hard work never ceases to amaze me. We love you!"
In a recent interview with Oprah, Tom spoke about the differences between himself and his wife, stating: "She had five sisters and I had three sisters, so it's a lot of women. And, you know, she comes from a different country and to move to New York when she was 17 and we met each other under pretty trying circumstances. And I think in a lot of ways that really challenging experience brought us together, in a very tight way."
Meanwhile, Gisele has recently talked about Tom's super-romantic proposal, stating: "When he proposed to me he made up this whole story how my apartment was flooding, and I ran over there to fix the situation. When I got there the whole apartment had candles and rose petals everywhere, and then he went down on his knees to propose. I was like, 'Get up!' because he just had surgery and had three staph infections. I'm like, 'What are you doing?' He's like, 'I gotta go on my knees.' I'm like, 'No, no, no. Get up, please!' So, here we are."
It just goes to show that, so matter how good you are at what you do, it simply wouldn't be possible to achieve your goals without the support of your loved ones. Gisele and Tom really know how to score couple touchdowns.
