As a child who grew up watching WWE (or WWF as I knew it), The Big Show seemed like an absolute freak of nature. I mean, even now, at the grand old age of 24, I still can't get my head around quite how big he actually is. Standing at 7ft 2in and weighing 500lbs, the wrestler was dubbed the "world's largest athlete" and it's easy to see why.

But while The Big Show was known for his sheer size, he wasn't known for exactly being in shape. Undoubtedly strong and powerful, Show was known for not being the most agile man in the business. However, if the latest photos of him are anything to go by, this reputation might be about to change.

Show, 46, appeared to have slimmed down as he flaunted his "giant abs" online. Such is his dedication to the gym, fans are speculating that he may be about to make his long-awaited return to the ring.

After being injured in September 2017, rumours began to circulate that Show had left WWE, with his contract running out in February. But, in a recent interview, the wrestler was coy when talking about his future:

"I had a hip resurfaced a couple months ago, so Vince and Hunter want me to finish on my main goal, which is getting healthy. Then we’ll discuss my future.

"There are a lot of projects I want to do with producing and acting outside of wrestling."

The 46-year-old was injured after being thrown through a cage by Braun Strowman and, despite the fact that it may be the signal of the end of a 20-year-career, Show didn't have a bad thing to say about his opponent.

"The writing was on the wall for my fight with Braun Strowman, because he looked like my replacement as the next dominant giant.

"When I came out in '95, even though it was part of the storyline, I was known as the next evolution of Andre, the next giant. I was that young, athletic, trash-talking monster. That was my introduction to the industry, and I was able to build on that.

"Braun Strowman is the next evolution of that monster. He’s athletic and explosive.”

Recent weeks have seen rumours that Strowman needs a partner for Wrestlemania and many fans have been speculating that it might be The Big Show.

If his latest photos are anything to go by, Show's return would be explosive. I mean, look at the size of him!

The giant certainly looks pleased with himself, and his fans were more than surprised by his physique.

Despite his career (seemingly) ending in a sad manner, The Big Show says that he has no regrets when it comes to his career.

"If I could have had any other career, I would be a high school basketball coach and a history teacher," said Big Show. "But I’m going down in WWE history as the guy who broke four rings."

So, are we about to see The Big Show return the ring? Let's hope so!

Wrestlemania 34 will take place on April 8, 2018, at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans.
