This year's Super Bowl was, as it always is, the biggest event of this time of year. Along with the football game, which is the primary reason for the existence of the star-studded event in the first place, comes a variety of other spectacles. This year, Super Bowl LIII was, in some ways, overshadowed by these tertiary parts.

By this point, the commercial side of the game has become so profitable that the biggest movies of the year all scramble for a place at halftime. This year we got trailers for Avengers: Endgame, Toy Story 4 and Captain Marvel, while there was a lot of attention paid to the performance taking place in the stadium.

Maroon 5 were joined by Outkast's Big Boi and Travis Scott for a performance that was, for many, pretty disappointing. In fact, a lot of people were highly critical, poking fun at the 'lacklustre' performance and Adam Levine's 'white dad' dance moves.

The game itself brought us a final result of 13-3, with the New England Patriots coming out on top for their sixth Super Bowl victory. The Los Angeles Rams were the second-highest scoring offence during the 2018 season, but unfortunately this trend replicate itself during the biggest game of the season. Except for the one lucky fan who managed to win $100,000 by betting that the Rams would only get three points, many were disappointed at the quality of the game.

I imagine there are few Pats fans that are too hung up over it, however, nor are those that were actually on the winning side. The Patriots team members celebrated on Sunday night well into Monday morning, kicking up a storm at their team hotel, the Hyatt Regency Atlanta. Reportedly alongside the star players were Snoop Dogg, Ludacris, Gucci Mane, Meek Mill and The Chainsmokers.

The Chainsmokers reportedly performed while hoisting the Vince Lombardi Trophy on stage, and next up was Snoop, who is said to have taken to the stage with pole dancers behind him. Julian Edelman was ushered to the stage to chants of "MVP!" before owner Robert Kraft joined him. Meek was on stage until after 2am, but the party reportedly continued until 4am with Ludacris and Mane.

Luckily for those out celebrating, Atlanta allowed its bars to stay open until these hours, just for the Super Bowl weekend.

Players such as Edelman and Tom Brady (accompanied by wife Gisele Bundchen) were said to down champagne from Jay-Z's special Armand de Brignac line. Patrick Chung, who left the pitch in the third quarter due to an injury, arrived with his arm in a sling - and didn't let his injured arm stop him from popping open a bottle of champagne too.

While I'm sure there are a lot of disappointed Rams fans out there, for those following the Patriots it's still time for celebration. If they end up winning again next year, the celebrations are bound to be even more extravagant.
