The View hosts have admitted that they are "deeply remorseful" for fueling conspiracy theories about Princess Catherine following her cancer diagnosis.

Last Friday (March 22), the Princess of Wales released a video message informing the public that she had been diagnosed with cancer after speculations about her whereabouts went viral on social media.

In the video, the 42-year-old revealed that she had paused her royal duties while she and her husband, Prince William, take the time to explain the situation to their three children - George, 10, Charlotte, eight, and Louis, five.

"This, of course, came as a huge shock, and William and I have been doing everything we can to process and manage this privately for the sake of our young family," she said. "As you can imagine, this has taken time. It has taken me time to recover from major surgery in order to start my treatment."

On Monday’s (March 25) episode of the daytime talk show, the women addressed the Senior Royal's diagnosis after Whoopi Goldberg asked them for their thoughts.

This comes after Sara Haines, Sunny Hostin, and Alyssa Farah Griffin lightheartedly broke down potential conspiracies regarding Princess Catherine after she disappeared from the public eye, including the Mother's Day photo, as well as speaking about potential body doubles.

Griffin, who previously worked on the Trump White House communications team, was the first to speak up and said: "I'm guilty of having gotten into the fun of 'Where's Kate?' and thinking it's funny and sharing the memes and playing into that."

"I forgot something fundamental that we all know: Every person, whether they're a princess, somebody in a high-privileged position, or just the person next to you, is dealing with personal struggles that we don't know about," she continued. "I send my love to her and strength to her."

Haines called Middleton's diagnosis a "heart-wrenching" development and said that she became suspicious because of how the Palace handled the situation.

"You just never know what someone is going through. I've always questioned the way the Royal Family handles women, whether it was Princess Diana or Fergie or Meghan Markle," she said. "I was not blaming Kate for what was going on, it really bothered me the way it was handled — whether it was my business or not could be debated."

Ana Navarro then chimed in and called this "a teachable moment" and quipped that she learned a specific lesson: "When Whoopi Goldberg tells me to mind my own damn business, I will mind my own damn business from now on."

Hostin, who specifically questioned the edited photos of the princess, said: "I'm deeply remorseful that I allowed Sara Haines to drag me down the rabbit hole. I'm deeply remorseful that Alyssa also led me down the rabbit hole. I generally don't care that much about the royals."

The 55-year-old said she had to take the "blame," and added that she should've listened to Goldberg "who told me to stop, and I didn't. Here I am".

The 68-year-old Sister Act actress concluded the segment by doubling down on what she'd told her co-hosts in the past, after refusing to participate in a discussion about Princess Catherine in a previous broadcast.

"Once you've had this experience, it can scar you," Goldberg said. "Everybody jumps on board, and there's no way to stop it. People don't want to hear the truth."

Following Princess Catherine's heartbreaking announcement, a statement was released on behalf of King Charles III - who has also been diagnosed with cancer.

"His Majesty is so proud of Catherine for speaking as she did. His Majesty has remained in the closest contact with his beloved daughter-in-law," it read. "Both Their Majestys will continue to offer their love and support to the family at this time."
