A nurse has revealed the reason why she returned to the adult entertainment industry after a 15-year career in nursing.

Back in 2005, Sadie Summers began her three-year career as an adult star and, in total, recorded 70 x-rated videos before leaving the industry in 2008, as per her interview with The New York Post.

Speaking to the publication, the nurse revealed that when she entered the adult industry, websites dedicated to explicit content such as OnlyFans were not available on the internet.

Calling it "a way different time", she recalled how most of her movies were released on DVD.

Three years after joining the industry, Summers decided to step back from making NSFW videos, and instead worked several seasons on the ski slopes of Whistler, British Columbia, before choosing nursing school.

"I wanted to prove to myself I could get a degree," she explained to the publication. "I worked as a nurse for a long time. I’m still licensed and I still do work occasionally because I like it."

The ex-adult actress settled into a quiet life as a healthcare professional and met her husband, whom she tied the knot in 2018 and the pair welcomed a son.

Summers' path back into the adult industry started in 2020.

Just like the rest of the world, she and her husband found it difficult to adjust to life after the pandemic so they set up a page on the content subscription service and quickly gained a massive following.

Her partner asked if she "would ever start working with other performers again" and this re-ignited her former passion as she got "really excited" about the idea of performing in front of the camera.

Last year, the mother-of-one got back to work and picked up right where she left off.

She now spends her time filming x-rated content in studios with other professionals. "There’s nothing like being on set, I absolutely love it…. there’s something really magical about making movies," Summers gushed. "I love the creative process."

While the 38-year-old spent several years as a professional in the healthcare industry, she confessed that she is not interested in making videos about her former career, explaining: "It would be so hard for me to incorporate that… I want to keep separation."

She also shared that she is not worried about re-entering the industry in her late 30s, telling the outlet: "Everybody looks at p**n and sex work like it’s a young girl’s game and, yes, when you hit 25, most people will start calling you a MILF...but there’s so many women who are older that do this," adding: "The options are unlimited."

Summers has no regrets about pivoting back to the adult entertainment industry as she expressed that "doing p**n’s the best job in the world," and made it clear that she has "never been ashamed of [her] sexuality".
