One of the most notoriously unfashionable things you can wear is a pair of Crocs. So much so that they are frequently described as a 100% effective form of contraception.

Although, while they are few and far between, the shoes have got their fans, which is why they still exist.

Now, the design has been morphed into a handbag of all things. And yes, as is the case with the shoes, you can personalize them with charms.

The bag was discovered by an Amazon user, who subsequently posted a picture on social media, to the delight/horror of users. Produced by a brand called Optari, you can get your hands on one for between $19.99 and $24.99.

The bags are produced in the following colors: black, blue, Caribbean, green, pink, and purple.

They are described as a "durable handbag, comfortable lightweight girl's or mom purse beach bag". However, because they bear an uncanny resemblance to Crocs, they are being called a "Crocs purse".

A picture of one of the bags was shared on Twitter by a user alongside another picture that read: "I didn't think anything could be more hideous than the shoes. I was wrong."

The tweet was captioned: "I do love all my purses, but I can't… I just can't. #shopping."

While these handbags aren't official Crocs products, the brand does make more than just shoes and also produces wristlets for $6.91 and crossbody bags for $19.98.

And with a little digging, it turns out that the bag's design is not quite as new as it appears to be. Below is a tweet from 2013:

But hey! Each to their own. Someone must have thought the design was a good idea.
