We all love an underdog story. There's just something so satisfying about hearing that the little guy has fought back, and, against all odds, prevailed. Now, whether this is standing up to a lunch-money stealing high-school bully or a teacher who is completely oblivious to the notion of "pastoral care", one thing is for sure, we're always on the side of the underdog.

An Imgur user recently provided the people of the internet with one such tale, but it has an unexpected twist. The story involved the individual's little cousin, who was tormented by a bully at school for months before he finally snapped. After being taunted and beaten one time too many, the child decided that enough was enough, and gave his tormentor a lesson that he'd never forget. And while violence can never be condoned, it does seem incredibly unfair that the school gave both parties the same exact punishment: a three-day suspension.

I mean, the bully had a track record of misconduct, and also started the fight. However, the bullied boy's family didn't think that this was fair and proceeded to show their support in the most awesome way...

"Last Friday was the last straw", the Imgur user began. "Bully was blocking my cousin from getting on the bus. There is a video of my cousin repeatedly telling bully to move. Bully then pushed my cousin with enough force he trips. As my cousin tries to get up bully kicks my cousin in the stomach and punches him in the face when he tries to get up again. That was the last of it. My cousin rushed his bully and proceeded to beat the living crap out of him."

The Imgur user then goes on to explain what happened when the bully and his victim were brought to the principal's office. "SRO pulled my cousin off the bully and both are brought to the principle. Parents are called. According to my uncle the other kids parents are demanding my cousin be expelled, even after seeing the video of my cousin being kicked and punched on the ground. My uncle compared them to Harry Potter’s aunt and uncle. Principle announces both students will receive a three day suspension."

But then, in an excellent display of parenting, the Imgur user's uncle "makes it clear" that the bullied boy won't be punished and that the three days of suspension will be "leisure days".

"This pisses of the bullies parents even more. They tell my uncle if my cousin goes near their son again they will sue him. My uncle tells them if their son goes after my cousin he’ll just get his ass kicked again and to leave them alone".

The Imgur user then went on to say that his uncle asked him to take out his cousin "for a day of fun" on the last day of his suspension. "I’m going to take him go karting and to see an r rated movie. He defended himself and I’m proud of him", he wrote before appealing to the internet for more suggestions.

And they certainly delivered. Between recommendations on how to spoil the boy, people also shared their own experiences of bullying - with many agreeing that children sometimes need to take such matters into their own hands, that is, when the proper authorities fail to intervene.

Well, there you have it. Regardless of whether you thought it was wrong of the boy to fight back, it's clear that he's not going to be bothered by this bully anytime soon.
