Not sure what to grab for lunch today? If you're a fan of Burger King's Whopper burgers, you're definitely in for a treat - and a great way to keep things moving mid-week, as long as you act fast.

As part of their recently-announced 'Whopper Wednesday', the fast food chain are giving out the burgers for completely free! This is part of their 'Whopper Takeover,' in which all other items on the menu are eliminated temporarily to make way for a Whopper-only menu.

Katie Evans, Marketing Director at Burger King UK, said in a statement:

"We are so excited to treat the nation to our iconic Whopper. The Whopper is Burger King's pride and joy, and for one day only we think everyone deserves to get involved, tuck in and savour that flame grilled goodness on us.

"Burger fans have no choice, but in a good way. Hope you understand. After all, Burger King is not called Home of The Cheeseburger!"

The only downside is that this isn't the case for all Burger Kings across the stations - and anyone hoping to pop into one in a gas station will come away disappointed. It's worth checking out online what stores the deal is taking place in so you don't waste a trip.

If you want to claim your free burger, the first thing you need to do is download the Burger King app. Once you've done that, you have to register, then just head to your nearest participating store. Easy!
