Texting the wrong number can be really awkward. It's so awkward, in fact, that I always get a little worried if I'm texting someone for the first time for this very reason. Knowing the kind of weird in-jokes that can form between friends, sending one out of context message to a stranger can be pretty embarrassing - and that's not even the worst of it.

However, most of the time, these wrong number incidents don't make much of a difference to your day, or the random person receiving your message.

Last time I got a wrong number text from someone, I received a lengthy message addressed to an 'Emma' from a 'Maria', asking to forward someone else's number, accompanied by dozens of emojis. Once they found out they'd made the mistake, all I received was a simple 'Sorry. Unaware of this'.

So, it's not exactly like you're going to start up a friendship with these interactions, or even get more than a few blunt words from the other person. At least, that's what we've come to expect, but things went a little different for this young woman.

Syd had a photo taken of herself trying on an evening gown, but wasn't too sure about whether it suited her or not. So, she sent the photo over to a friend for a little fashion advice. That's what she thought, anyway...

In reality, the photo made its way to a random man, along with his six children. Luckily, the family decided that they would actually help out rather than simply telling her 'wrong number'.

His text read:

"I believe this message was intended for someone else. My wife isn't home, so I couldn't get her opinion, but the kids and I think you look stunning in your dress! You should definitely go with that one!"

In addition to this, he sent a photo of five of his six children, all giving the dress some enthusiastic thumbs up:

Then, one of Syd's friends tweeted about what had happened, and the story went viral. As of writing, the tweet now has 623,000 likes and over 150,000 retweets already.

And the internet, as you can expect, absolutely loved it:

It was later revealed that the couple's sixth child, not featured in the photo, has his own important story. Kaizler is undergoing treatment for Leukaemia and has a GoFundMe to help support the medical costs. Luckily, the original tweet has given his family an opportunity to publicise the charitable cause.

All the supporters who donated got a thumbs up from Kaizler himself:

As it turns out, the support really helped out with the cause:

After doubling the total money raised after just one day of the tweet being up, this has shown how strangers can be a beacon of positivity for one another. Hopefully, Kaizler is well on his way to recovery.
