Cancer patient with months to live credits cannabis oil for her miraculous recovery

A female cancer patient who was told that she had just months to live has made an incredible recovery after using cannabis oils, despite doctors telling her that they would have no beneficial impact. Lynn Camer, 48, from Blantyre in the United Kingdom, says that doctors gave her "six to 18 months" to live back in December 2013, but four years later, she is now fully recovered and able to tell her tale.

Four years on from her original diagnosis, Lynn has been given the all clear and says that it was cannabis oil that helped her in her recovery. She's now calling for "the reform of the current prohibitive laws around the use of cannabis for medication".

Lynn was diagnosed with an incurable form of brain cancer, and she says that she tried cannabis oil in a last-ditch attempt to save her own life, following unsuccessful chemotherapy and radiotherapy sessions. Speak about her diagnosis and what followed in the months afterwards, Lynn said:

"I took a seizure on November 30, 2013, prior to which I had been quite well. I had a scan on December 10 at Hairmyres Hospital and it showed a mass, and I was taken straight into Southern General at that point."

"I was operated on on December 16, and on December 27 I was told that I had stage four terminal brain cancer."

Lynn also went on to explain why she began using cannabis oil, despite it being illegal in the UK, saying:

"A good friend suggested cannabis, but I was too scared because it’s illegal. I also found it hard to believe that it would cure brain cancer so advanced. But as the scans were showing there was no change to the mass, I eventually thought, ‘I’m going to break the mould here and try that’. I started taking cannabis oil under my tongue, as it gets straight into the bloodstream that way."

"Each scan I received after that was showing an improvement. I had been told that chemotherapy and radiotherapy doesn’t make much difference, so I knew it must be the cannabis doing it."

After Lynn's sixth MRI scan, it was revealed that the cancer had completely gone, and she received the all clear from doctors. Lynn says that after this had happened, she revealed to the doctors that she had been taken cannabis oil all along and they immediately dismissed its impact.

"They told me, ‘eat whatever you like, take all the vitamins you want, it won’t work’.

"But these were the people who told me my cancer was incurable, and it was gone. The British Medical Journal hasn’t properly investigated cannabis."

Lynn has now joined forced with a campaign group called 'Medical Cannabis Reform Scotland' which is pushing for a change in the law in regards to cannabis  as a treatment for diseases such as cancer.

It's an incredible turnaround by Lynn and she deserves a lot of respect for being brave enough to go off and fight her own war against cancer, when it appeared that doctors had seemingly given up on her.
