Hayley Hasselhoff is arguably best known for her surname. While the model may be trying to carve a career in her own right, with a name so recognisable, she'll forever be tagged with the moniker of 'David Hasselhoff's Daughter.'

That said, however, Hayley is beginning to carve her own lane away from her Baywatch and Knight Rider father. The 26-year-old has been modelling since she was 14 and, in 2010, she starred in the ABC Family series, "Huge." Her most recent work, though, has focused on becoming a key figure in the world of body positivity.

Hayley has teamed up with the inclusive intimate apparel line Curvy Kate. The campaign, which is titled '#MyBodyVictory' is aimed at a) selling lingerie and b) getting people to talk about how much they love their bodies and what makes them special.

Speaking about her decision to get involved in the world of body positivity, Hayley previously said:  “I think it’s really important that we continue to campaign for body positivity and diversity in the industry.

“We want to give women everywhere the confidence to be who they are. This is only achieved by showing a wide variety of models irrespective of size. By tearing up the ‘one size’ fits fashion rule book we hope to encourage any woman, whatever her size, to feel fabulous in their skin.”

Through joining the campaign with CurvyKate, Hasselhoff has teamed up with other inspiring women such as mother-of-two Chanel Ambrose, wheelchair user Clara Holmes, brain surgery survivor Grace Latter, plus-size blogger Lauren Tallulah and She Aspires UK creator, Jenny Okolo.

The campaign has shared videos from the models, in which they discuss how they came to love their bodies. In Hayley's case, she discusses a few of her 'body victories.' For her, the big issue was that, as a teenager, she had to battle to come to terms with her large breasts.

"I was so big-chested at a very, very young age," Hayley said. "But now I'm like, the more dresses I can put out there in a classy, sophisticated way, I will do it."

Hayley believes that the campaign will go on to give strength to women who are trying to overcome their body issues. "I think its so important for us to get together and celebrate our bodies in a way of saying that lingerie doesn't only have to be sexy, but it can also be empowering."

While she may have been given a leg-up in life due to who her father is and his fame, it's good to see Hayley using her position to spread a message of inclusivity and positivity. Sadly, despite the movements that have been made to shut down the archaic western beauty standards, they still exist and women still struggle with body image. The more people like Hayley Hasselhoff working to change this, the better off we will be.
