A married mother of two has revealed her living conditions, and how she makes sharing a one-bedroom apartment work as she raises her kids.

Anya Ledford, 23, and her partner spent close to five years living in a ''small'' apartment, which the duo shared with their two young boys, as well as another person.

The Californian couple also has two cats living in the property.

In a revealing TikTok video, Anya - who was born in Ukraine and spent time in an orphanage - shared insights into their living arrangements.

The family rented one room, while their flatmate occupied the second room of the apartment. Their bedroom featured a bunk bed, with the parents resting on a larger double bed alongside their baby, while their older son enjoyed privacy courtesy of curtains enclosing his bunk.

Anya detailed their compact living setup, stating: "Baby sleeps in the bed with us – he sleeps in the corner. Then, I sleep in the middle and my husband sleeps at the end. That's how we share our big bed."

Despite the space constraints, she maintained a dedicated area for her vanity table, housing beauty essentials, books, and skincare products.

Acknowledging her circumstances, Anya - who goes by the username @annaalessfam - admitted to feeling inadequate, but her vulnerability gained an outpouring of support on social media.

"Why would you say that about yourself. You are such a kind and loving mom and wife," one person said, while a second person added: "You have a roof on your head, food and a warm bed for your kids, your not a [piece of s***]! Your doing good."

A third person said: "Don’t talk to yourself that way! Show yourself some grace. When I was younger my mom, my siblings, and I shared a one bedroom apartment. We always talk about how COMFORTABLE/HAPPY we were."

A fourth person added: "You’re not alone, me and my man and our two babies share a one bedroom. It’s tough out here with rent. Just blessed to have a roof over our heads."

While Anya hasn't disclosed her current employment status, she generates income through TikTok and sponsored content. She has also pursued various entrepreneurial endeavors, including baking cookies and selling eyelash products, to fulfill her aspiration of securing a more spacious residence.

Fortunately, the family's perseverance paid off as they recently upgraded to a larger rented space, per the Sun.

Additionally, with careful financial planning, they celebrated the acquisition of a new family car.
