While many people think of themselves as altruistic and charitable, it's not often that you'll actually see a someone offer the gift of kindness to a complete stranger. There are various stressful situations we find ourselves in without even expecting that we could be assisted by the general public, but that's exactly what happened to this overwhelmed mother this week.

Becca Kinsey, a mother-of-two from Texas, was on a flight with her two-year-old and five-year-old when she found herself driven to tears from the stress. Thankfully, she was helped in her moment of need by three strangers, who helped make her journey home a pleasant one.

Now, she's written about her flight in a now-viral post. Sharing the touching story on Facebook, she explained that she was heading home from a trip to Disney World with her sons Wyatt and James, when she was in need of a little help.

"So I thought it was a good idea to fly by myself with a 2 yr old and a 5 year old," she wrote. "We were standing in line in security, on the verge of tears because Wyatt was screaming and James was exhausted."

"Out of the blue, one mom stops the line for security and says “here, jump in front of me! I know how it is!” Wyatt fell asleep and I was trying to carry everyone’s carry-on when another mom jumps out of her place in line and says “hand me everything, I’ve got it”.

"When I said thank you to both of them they said “don’t you worry, we’re going to make sure you get on that flight.” The second woman takes evvvverything and helps me get it through security and, on top of all that, she grabs all of it and walks us to the gate to make sure we get on the flight.

This alone sounds like a great help for the struggling mother, but that wasn't the end of it. She continues:

"To top it all off, Wyatt starts to scream at take off before he finally falls back to sleep. After about 45 min, this angel comes to the back and says “you look like you need a break” and holds Wyatt for the rest of the flight AND walks him all the way to baggage claim, hands him to Blake, hugs me and says “merry Christmas!!”’

The post soon went viral, amassing over 128,000 shares in just a few days. In an edit to the post, she asked for those that were touched by her story to follow the lead of the good samaritans she met that day, donating money or doing some other charitable act.

"Pay it forward," she said, before suggesting that users go to the charity Kidd's Kids and donate a little money to help children with life-threatening and life-altering conditions.

It just goes to show that even a little kindness given to a stranger can completely transform their day!
