Ahhhh, 2012. It was a better time. A time when Brad and Angelina were still together, the world was going mad for the London Olympics and Gangnam style ruled the charts. Okay, so maybe we could have done without that last one, but still, it was a pretty good year.

Unfortunately, over in the world of fashion, it was a time of Kanye-style shades, thinner eyebrows and tacky mustache accessories that never should have been. But we all love a transformation story, and when people started sharing their own 2012-2018 glow-ups this week, it kind of proved the point that a whole lot can change in six years. WOW what a turnaround some of them have made...

From teenage dweeb to some kind of rock god

FYI, Josh credits his luscious locks to "natural conditioners/shampoos with coconut oil or avocado, be sure to use a leave-in product after you shower, and love yourself".

Just HOW is this the same person?

Well played, son.

Good job growing up!

But while we're at it, weren't mirror selfies meant to have been left in 2012 too?

Alas, the game wasn't for everyone

We can't all be winners, I guess.

We've all got a fair few fashion choices and hideous hairstyles that we'd really rather forget. Mine? The combination of a chunky emo fringe, the hideous amount of eye-liner I painted onto the one eye that was visible, and the My Chemical Romance hoodie that I refused to take off for a good six months. It was bad. But it's good to see that time is a healer. It does kind of make you think though, what are you wearing right now that you're going to look back on and laugh at?
