Cursed with a little thing called "feelings", us human beings have been sentenced to a lifetime of heartbreak. The most painful of which is, of course, related to matters of the heart. Irrespective of whether you were dumped or the dumpee - there always comes a point where you feel as if you can no longer go on -and no amount of family and friends can convince you otherwise.

Certainly, in the days, weeks and even months after a break-up, it may feel as if you've encountered phantom limb syndrome... of the heart. I mean, it's hard not to feel that way when you've become so attached to another human being that you're aware of their every quirk and eccentricity.

Now, while we all have at least one traumatising breakup story, this one really takes the cake. Twitter user, Amy Burgess, took the platform to share a seriously savage breakup text - and boy - it makes Carrie Bradshaw's infamous dumping-via-post-it-note seem rather peachy in comparison.

If you think you've had a bad week, think again. Social media user, Amy Burgess, just got dumped in a seriously passive-aggressive way. "if you’re having a bad day at least you didn't get pied with the phrase ‘I’m busy everyday for the rest of the year," she wrote on Twitter, and accompanied it with a screenshot of the message that her ex-boyfriend sent her on Snapchat - of all places.

"I do want to say something tho" the man wrote on the photo-sharing app. "I'm sort of busy everyday now for the rest of this year and have [to] concentrate on the things I have to do each day".

While some of their interchange has been omitted, I think we can all agree that this is not the best way to break up with someone. I mean, at least use a believable excuse... no one can be booked up from March to until December, unless they're Beyoncé or a member of the Kardashian family.

Amy must have given herself a little pep-talk, as she coolly replied "That's chill man."

And while we can't hope to know what the pair's relationship was really like, it hasn't stopped the people of the internet from seriously roasting the guy for having the audacity to send a message like that.

"Did u ask what about next year?" one Twitter user joked, while another added "Like, I honestly just want to know what was said under the scribbled out part."

A third user wrote, "My heart, I think I’d actually explode if someone said that to me

Well, there you have it. Now, I don't know about you, but this has made all of my breakups seem pretty tame in comparison. I mean, it's bad enough being broken up with via Snapchat, but having such a ludicrous explanation is nothing but short of savagery.

In other news, a guy has gotten revenge on his girlfriend by taking a selfie with her while she was cheating on him...
