Girl reveals how differently her boyfriend acts IRL versus social media and it's so relatable

Since social media has become such a big part of our lives, PDA isn't just something that happens in a cafe or on the bus - but something appearing on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter feeds.

So there are some people that deal with it in different ways, either opting out of showing their significant other online or being very different in how they express their affection for them. And this is something that Olivia O'Leary has noticed about her boyfriend, Cam.

"My boyfriend is so affectionate and sappy 90% of the time, but his Instagram captions were so vague and bland, which I thought was a funny contrast to how he normally is," the 20-year-old told BuzzFeed.

"He’s the softest motherfucker I’ve ever met, but on Instagram he’s like, 'Me and a feral cat I found in the alleyway' on his captions of us."

So she decided to tweet about the stark difference between the two sides of Cam

And that's when other women started to share how they go through the same thing with their boyfriends too - starting a hilarious Twitter trend.

To the point

Do you know anyone else who behaves this way online? There's a line you can cross to be sure, but personally I'd rather the people that show on my feed be short and sweet, rather than spending 500 words or more gushing over a simple couple photo. As long as you still show your affection and express your feelings somewhere - that's what matters.
