Sorry ladies and gentlemen - you missed your chance, because Jennifer Lopez is officially engaged to Alex Rodriguez!
The Love Don't Cost A Thing songstress announced the exciting news last night, posting a picture of her stunning engagement ring to Instagram.
The image saw A-Rod and J-Lo holding hands, with the singer showing off a giant diamond on her engagement finger - a ring rumoured to be worth $1 million.
Clearly, Jennifer felt like the photo spoke for itself, simply putting a row of love hearts in the caption.
Her soon-to-be-husband also posted the same photo, writing "She said yes" on Twitter, along with a love heart.
The loved-up couple first met when J-Lo and her then-husband Marc Anthony went to see Alex's former team the New York Yankees play the New York Mets in May 2005. At the time, the former baseball player was married to his ex-wife, Cynthia, who is the mother of his two children, Natasha and Ella.
Obviously, the timing wasn't quite right back then - but as fate would have it, they ran into each other again over a decade later when Jennifer spotted Alex outside a restaurant in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles.
"I almost yelled out 'Alex', but I am the shyest person when it comes to things like that," she told Vanity Fair in October. "I could literally have just walked away but I walk over and tap him on the shoulder and say 'Hey'... It was just one of those things where you feel compelled to do, something you wouldn’t normally do."
It's a good thing she went ahead and did it, because seconds later he was calling her "beautiful" and a few hours later he phoned to ask her out to dinner.
According to the 43-year-old athlete, he wasn't sure if it was a date and he went in "uneasy not knowing her situation." However, he hit the jackpot mid-meal when "she told me around the third or fourth inning that she was single". He added: "I had to get up and go re-adjust my thoughts. I went to the bathroom and got enough courage to send her a text."
The message he sent? "You look sexy AF."
That text was the beginning of something beautiful. The pair's relationship became public news in March 2017 and ever since, they've been delighting us all with their adorable antics; this including their family outings with their kids, their combined charity work on Hurricane Maria and the moment when Alex become an official Instagram boyfriend when he was caught snapping pics of his girlfriend on the VMA red carpet.
In February 2019, they celebrated two years together, with J-Lo writing that Alex made her "world a more beautiful safe and stable place" on Instagram.
"Two years of laughter, two years of fun, two years of adventures, of excitement, of growing and learning, of true friendship, and so much love!!" the 49-year-old wrote. "You make my world a more beautiful safe and stable place... in the midst of our ever-changing, ever-moving life... you make me feel like a teenager starting out all over again... Every time I think I have you pegged, you surprise me in the most wonderful ways reminding me how blessed I am to have found you now in this moment at this time... our time...
