Professional gamer Douglas Martin, aka FaZe Censor, made headlines when he announced he was dumping his girlfriend, Yanet Garcia, 'The World's Hottest Weathergirl.' The reason? So he could have more time to play 'Call of Duty.' Seriously. The couple dated for three years, and Yanet moved from Mexico to New York ro be close to him, but the relationship didn't survive. In the end, he just wanted to play one-player games.

On YouTube, Douglas explained to his 2.5 million followers why he wanted to focus his energy on tapping buttons instead of 'dat ass.' "She’s beautiful, she’s smart, she was an awesome girlfriend," he stated. "It’s just, I gotta do what feels right for me... I want to win a ring, I want to win a world championship, what I want in my life at this very moment is to compete in Call of Duty because I love it so much. I’m going to do whatever it takes to be a champion. There’s only 24 hours in a day and I just didn’t have enough time to do what I needed to do."

Yanet moved back to Mexico to focus on her career; after all, she's a social media star herself, with 7.7 million Instagram followers. (Her weather forecasts must be extremely accurate.) Finally, without that pesky 27-year-old meteorologist-supermodel in the way, Douglas wouldn't have any distractions! He could eat, sleep and breathe Call of Duty! But unfortunately, all that practice didn't pay off. FaZe Censor failed to win the championship. "I feel so bad, he tweeted. "Really thought our team could do it."

Following that crushing defeat, Douglas got savagely mocked on social media. I mean, come on, he dumped the 'World's Hottest Weathergirl,' then still didn't win the CoD championship? That's rough. Trolls proclaimed FaZe Censor to be the master of taking L's. And even after he quit professional gaming to focus on making YouTube videos, the mockery didn't subside. Well, now Douglas has had it.

In a new, 15-minute video, Douglas reveals the real reason why he and Yanet broke up:

"This narrative that's going on is really making me upset and I really don't like it... All I see on all my social media accounts is I took a big L, I dumped the hottest girl in the world in order o pursue Call of Duty, I retired from Call of Duty and I'm just taking all these L's left and right...

"Obviously it wasn't only for Call Of Duty... Everything started to turn when I mentioned to her how much money can be made on YouTube… So when she understood how much money I was making on YouTube, she wanted to get a percentage of the videos I was making, and for me I didn’t feel comfortable with it..."

Despite what Douglas initially told his followers, the break-up wasn't just because of Call of Duty. Both he and Yanet work in the entertainment industry, and business began to poison their relationship. For example, he says one time he bought her a car, and she wouldn't let him film the event. She felt like he was using her to get more ad revenue. He says he was willing to "support her" by buying whatever she wanted - like cars! - but he "didn't feel comfortable" forking over a percentage of his earnings. To quote the great poets, the Wu-Tang Clan, cash rules everything around me, C.R.E.A.M., get the money, dolla dolla bill, y'all.

Douglas says that he doesn't want to make Yanet look bad, but he feels his followers deserve to know the full truth about the split. He adds Yanet could be possessive, and gave him "ultimatums over who his friends could be." "Looks aren’t everything," the retired gamer concludes. "When you live with someone every single day…you start seeing people for who they really are." Game over.

Well, it's only a matter of time before the 'World's Hottest Weathergirl' responds. She might be gone forever, but at least Douglas will always have Call of Duty.
