I have a somewhat unpopular opinion: summer is kind of overrated.

Yep, I know we've got festivals and barbecues, long days in the park and all that jazz; but contrary to what your Instagram feed might tell you, you won't exactly be at 100 percent. You'll be dehydrated and lethargic and if you spend any length of time outside over June, July and August and you'll absolutely be covered in mosquito bites.

I don't make the rules, folks. The summer months will be an itchy time, and it's all down to those little bitey bugs. But if you're going to light a candle for a summer's potential that won't quite be fulfilled, then you might as well light these candles.

Behold, intrepid scratchers of the summer months, the candles of your dreams! Not only will Succulent provide you with a lovely scent to waft through your home, but it'll also ward away any of those mosquitos that'll readily ruin your summer if you let 'em. Repellent candles are usually a bit of an eyesore... but not these ones!

At first glance, they look just like a set of house plants, right? But you see, light them up, and they're some pretty nifty candles, that'll keep mosquitos at bay whenever you need them to! Amazon will sell all this as a six-pack of incognito candles, for the nominal fee of $40. I mean, that's a steal, isn't it?

So you've got that grill all ready to fire up but you're wary of getting bitten? Well, just light a couple of candles, and chill away without any threat of getting bitten by mosquitos. What's that? You're worried about getting stung by wasps? Um, I don't think there's a candle for that, just yet. Sorry.
