This genius who hacked her fridge to dispense wine instead of water is living her best life

I think this might be a slight understatement, but Jesus was awesome, wasn't he? Yeah, he gave up his earthly possessions, and in the wake of his Dad's 'brimstone and wrath' approach, he tried to teach us to be a little nicer to each other with his alternative sales pitch for humanity.

Most importantly, though, the guy could perform a miracle or two; most impressively, he turned water into wine like it was nothing at a wedding, proving the guy could party just as well as he could preach. Clare, who's 28 years old and hails from England, doesn't look a thing like Jesus, but she talks like a gentleman, and she's found a way to turn water into wine in a slightly different manner to everybody's favourite carpenter.

She bought a new fridge with her boyfriend Joe. We all know what a fridge is, right? Big and white, a door or two, keeps things cold, for the most part. But you might not know that some fridges are equipped with a pretty neat wine cooler section. If you want to get really fancy, even, some even come with a tap where you can enjoy freshly-cooled water.

Clare's fridge had all three. "We ordered the fridge and Joe said it came with a wine cooler section and I said, 'Or we could put it in the water dispenser.' It seemed to make perfect sense," she explained to BuzzFeed, and I'm inclined to agree with her; it's pretty genius, right?

Unsurprisingly, Twitter went pretty mad with it at the time. One person rightly claimed that she should have won Person of the Year (would have been a better winner than Donald Trump in my eyes), while others were similarly quick to praise her.

But if you were to head to Clare's home at this very second and managed to convince her to let you use her fridge, you might be disappointed to get a glass of water instead of a glass of wine. The thing is, as much as Clare loves wine (and the answer is clearly a lot), she had to drink water at some point.

"We finished off the bottle and washed it out so it's back to water now. Not sure if it would work if you left it for a while, though," Clare explained, before adding: "I think I may have ruined quite a few water filters around the world."

Well folks, there you have it. Most doctors and nutritionists will tell you to have a glass of wine every day for optimal health, but I think we should always have a little more just to be sure. And instead of taking up so much space with several cases of wine, just stick it in your fridge dispenser, and live the good life for a while.

Bottled water's just as good, I've heard.
