There are a lot of qualities which can make a person attractive - eye colour, body type, and dress sense, to name but a few. But one quality which can really propel a person into a new league of attractiveness is their accent. (Or, y'know, if it's an accent that you hate, it can do the opposite. Sorry Scousers, your voice is a dealbreaker for me.)
Now, a vote has been conducted to determine the world's sexiest accents, and surprisingly, my own dulcet Scottish tones have made the cut. So too did the long lusted after Irish accent - probably thanks to Colin Farrell.
The victor, however, proved to be an unexpected one.
Yup, it was the New Zealand accent, and if you're anything like me, you're probably wracking your brain trying to work out what it sounds like. Thankfully, the conductors of the vote, Big Seven Travel, have provided an explanation:
"To a novice ear, the New Zealand accent might sound just like the Australian accent, but Big 7 Travel readers disagree. The 'Newzild' dialect is outrageously charming. The sexiest accent in the world? It's official."
