On Friday morning, Mac Miller was found dead in his home, from an apparent overdose. He was 26 years old. The rapper struggled with substance abuse for years, and had a pretty rough 2018. After breaking up with his girlfriend, singer Ariana Grande, he smashed his G-Wagon into a utility pole. Police charged him with a DUI and a hit-and-run.

Despite his highly publicized troubles, it seemed like Mac was doing better. Last month he dropped his critically acclaimed fifth album, Swimming, which became his fifth consecutive top five album on the U.S. Billboard charts. In his last tweets, he talked about how excited he was to go on tour. "I’m bringing a band. The show is going to be special every night. I wish it started tomorrow."
