A neighborhood in Florida designed to look like the UK hasn't received the approval of British people who have mercilessly mocked it online.

Going on vacation and experiencing different cultures is great, right? Well, what if you could bring those different cultures right back home?

Going to Epcot is a great way of doing this, though even those countries they try to replicate are questionable because as the Irish will tell you - Guinness is not English.

With that being said, maybe you want to leave the US and live in the UK for good but can't bring yourself to make the journey across the pond for whatever reason.

A neighborhood in Florida has just the answer for you.

In a recent TikTok video, popular social media personality Tlo took his followers on a tour of International Village, a gated community in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, designed with a British theme.

Self-proclaimed Anglophile Tlo, known for sharing his love for all things British, explored International Village after hearing about its supposed British connection.

The community, according to its website, boasts a "European theme" with districts modeled after the English county of Yorkshire and the city of Nottingham.

As Tlo navigated through the community, the video showcased signs on red brick walls referencing a "French Quarter" and the "English Common."

Tlo remained upbeat during the tour, which included a visit to the "Yorkshire" district featuring quaint Tudor-style homes and a pond. Tlo speculated that the bird he spotted on the water might be "imported from the London canal or something."

The video continued with shots of a classical fountain topped with a water nymph.

The TikTok found its way to British viewers, and they did not hold back with their response.

One person said: "That sure doesn’t look like the UK Yorkshire I live in and have lived in for 32 years, while a second added: "I can safely say, that doesn't look like the UK."

A third said: "I think you’re gonna be in for a shock when you visit the UK,"  while a fourth simply stated: "They tried but didn't quite get it right."

While the British-themed community faced criticism online, Tlo was happy with the experience, stating: "I'm not gonna lie. I feel like I've been in the UK. I feel like I should move here."

Despite Tlo's positive sentiments, the online community remained divided over the authenticity of International Village's British theme.

For those interested, homes in the community are currently listed for sale via Remax, with prices ranging from $119,000 for a one-bedroom property to $279,000 for a four-bedroom residence. Residents also enjoy access to amenities such as tennis courts, an indoor golf range, and an outdoor pool.
