Kim Jong-un reportedly 'executes general by throwing him into a piranha fish tank'
North Korean leader Kim Jong-un has allegedly executed one of his generals by throwing him into a James Bond-style piranha-filled fish tank.
The unnamed general is just the latest in a slew of slayings from the North Korean leader, following on from the execution of his entire US envoy following frustrations during negotiations with Donald Trump.
The general was allegedly killed inside a piranha tank built inside the dictator's Ryongsong Residence, in Pyongyang, after reportedly trying to stage a coup against Kim Jong-un.
According to the Daily Star, the general had his arms and torso cut open with knives before being thrown into the tank filled with piranhas imported from Brazil, and although he did die in agony, it's unclear whether he died from wounds sustained from the knives or the piranhas - or even if he drowned.
Per the Daily Star, a source from British intelligence forces say that this was "classic Kim":
"He is all about using fear and terror as a political tool. Whether or not the use of piranhas is an efficient way of killing someone won't bother him. He wants everyone to know, including his most trusted aides, that they are at risk of suffering a very unpleasant death if he suspects they are treasonous. H
"He has executed members of his own family and killed senior government officials for not clapping loudly enough during one of his speeches."
Since succeeding father Kim Jong-il as leader of North Korea, Kim Jong-un is suspected to have killed as many as 16 aides, using methods such as firing squads, tank attack, and even flamethrowers.
