Since becoming a royal, Meghan Markle has gone about her business pretty well. While she was undoubtedly famous and successful in her own right before marrying into the family, her status has been elevated to another playing field and she has dealt with it all remarkably. However, for all the praise she has been receiving, Meghan has also attracted a fair amount of scorn from royal commenters.

From the outside looking in, Meghan Markle seems to have set out on a one-woman mission to revolutionise the royal family and bring them into the 21st century. Her wedding to Prince Harry was heralded as the most modern royal occasion in recent history, with there being plenty of aspects of the ceremony that went against what we're used to seeing from the often outdated and archaic family.

Whether it was the presence of a black American pastor, the music provided by a gospel choir or Meghan wearing a statement, feminist-inspired dress from Givenchy, there was a lot to marvel at on the big day.

But, for all the good she has done in the family, Meghan still receives a fair amount of criticism online, with the majority of comments focusing on what she wears to royal engagements.

Firstly, there was the ridiculous criticism she attracted for daring to show her shoulders off at a royal engagement, with commenters saying that it wasn't appropriate and she shouldn't be doing it. And then, even more ludicrously, Meghan received widespread criticism for "not sitting correctly" during a photo with the Queen and Prince Harry.

However, while Meghan may have received criticism from those outside of the family, it's believed that her in-laws are big fans of the former actress. Despite this, it's now being reported that Meghan has had a warning about the clothes she wears, with Harry taking particular issue with one item of clothing that she has previously worn.

The couple is preparing for an official visit to Australia and neighbouring islands this Autumn, with Kensington Palace tweeting: ''The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will undertake an official visit to Australia, Fiji, the Kingdom of Tonga, and New Zealand in the Autumn. The tour will fall on the occasion of @InvictusSydney 2018. (sic)''

Of course, for Meghan in particular, this means that she needs to begin thinking about what she is going to wear for the engagement. According to a source that spoke to the Daily Mail newspaper, ''Meghan is being told she needs to stop dressing like a Hollywood star and start dressing like a royal. Meghan wanted to wear a tuxedo-style suit but Harry said it wasn't traditional enough.''

Meghan has previously worn a suit out before, but it's believed that the Queen prefers to see women in dresses, skirts and suitable footwear.

While it may be the royal protocol for Meghan to wear a dress or skirt, what does it really matter? Personally, I'd prefer to see her step out in a Nike tracksuit and trainers - it would go some way to making the Royals a little more relatable.
