With the recent wedding, there has only been one royal couple on everyone's minds as of late. Dream team Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have fascinated the public and media with their cross-continent love story, rejuvenating interest in the monarchy, as well as inspiring millions to believe in love again.

But, wait a minute. What about the other royal couple? It's perhaps easy to forget that Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton had the first young royal romance, which got us excited when they tied the knot all the way back in April 2011.

Remember Kate's iconic Alexander McQueen long-sleeved lace bridal gown? Remember her stunning 12-carat, sapphire and diamond ring? Remember how the pair thrilled the nation when they sealed it with a kiss on Buckingham Palace balcony? It's all coming back to us.

However, just because they've been married for over seven years now, it doesn't mean that they're done being adorable. Far from it, something that the Duke of Cambridge proved recently when he recreated a photo taken of Kate when she was a child.

William is currently on a royal tour of the Middle East and spent today in Jerash, Jordan visiting ruins of the Roman city dating from the first century. While there, he visited the exact location that his wife went to with her family when she was a little girl in the 1980s. And to make things even better, he stood in the exact same spot Kate had as a four-year-old and posed for a picture, 30 years earlier.

Kensington Palace posted about the cute moment on Twitter, writing: "The Duke of Cambridge visits Jerash, the same site that The Duchess of Cambridge visited, aged four, with her sister and father when the family lived in Jordan."

Kate moved to Jordan in 1984 when she was two years old, after her father, a British Airways manager, relocated to the capital of Amman. She spent nearly three years there and attended an English language nursery.

The second-in-line to the throne was apparently seen chuckling to himself upon seeing the old photo, which features the Duchess of Cambridge with her father Michael Middleton and sister Pippa Middleton. He laughed when he was shown an enlarged copy of the photograph and said: "Michael's looking very smart in his flip-flops."

Furthermore, the proud husband also claimed that he wanted to bring the kids next time. Can we expect a family photo by the rock in the near future?

On his tour of the Middle East, the 36-year-old will become the first royal to make an official visit to Israel and the Palestinian territories. William is thought to be having a good time on his trip, having met Syrian refugee children benefitting from Unicef's Makani programme, attending a garden party in honour of the Queen's official birthday and visiting a military base of the Quick Reaction Force.

In addition, he was caught on camera catching the England team play in the World Cup, alongside the Crown Prince of Jordan yesterday.

It's good to be reminded of how much we all love the couple together. Harry and Meghan, we adore you, but Wills and Kate will always be the original royal love story.
